You are missing the picture, never said Wright didn't give his all, or was not on the spot when called upon, never said anything bad about him. All I am saying is he was an unknown commodity at LSU, if you don't make stats, you don't get ink, you don't get known.
Furthermore, I am very happy for him and his success. His story provides even more proof of how LSU is a pipeline to the NFL. Something recruits need to see.

I agree that Hill is much better known than Wright, but knowledgeable LSU fans know damn well who Wright is.

I think there was some behind the scenes issues with him. He played more his freshman year, than he did the rest of his career combined.

How about this? Do a little experiment. Ask a tiger fan outside your circle of friends, if they know who james wright is, and let me know what you find out.
I just did this in my office: I asked a guy who goes to about half the home games a year, and watches the rest of the games at home on TV and has done so for longer than I have been alive. I then asked an intern who goes to LSU, attends every home game and watches every away game on TV. I would say a representation of typical LSU fans. Neither of them knew who James Wright was.
"if you don't make stats, you don't get ink, you don't get known" is a pretty simple concept, maybe you are the one who doesn't know shite.

How many tiger fans played football with him? Not many, so outside of your group of teammates how many people do you actually think know who james wright is? percentage of tiger fans? I'd say with confidence less than 50%.
