he definitely was better than what Jennings is right now.

in 2009 absolutely. 2009 and 2014 are the respective QB's sophomore years in the program and they both played about the same amount in their freshman season. Jefferson got 1 additional game of starting experience, but jennings got 100% of the 1st string reps for a month of bowl practice.

People are pining for JJ... oh, the state of affairs!
I think we are just wrapping our head around how bad AJ is. It would be the equivalent of a LT getting beat for like 3-4 sacks a game avg. No way people would be ok with that to continue to start because, "we are winning"

His drops could have changed the game Sat night but not much mention about that.

I don't think he should be starting, and neither should jennings.

Here's the thing. It actually doesn't matter if you're right or wrong here.

If AJ shouldn't be starting, then obviously, that's a frick up.

BUT, if it's true that AJ SHOULD be starting, then THAT is one colossal fricking disaster of talent evaluation on our coach's part. That would mean that of the 4 most recent QB recruits, AJ was the BEST they managed. The BEST they managed was the NINETY FOURTH rated QB in college football.

Chicken could've randomly picked 4 four star QBs in the last 3 years to recruit and he'd have been statistically more likely than not to do better.

We could've put all the 4 start QBs in a hat and drawn names and been statistically more likely to do better.

My fear is that AJ will not improve much...seems like a great guy with a good attitude, works hard, and is giving it his best effort. Most of his passes that he does complete have a lot of air under them. I just dont think he has the arm strength for the job. At his max, I think he will be a Mason(UGA) type guy as a senior.

WRs are young and inexperienced and that isn't helping(8 career catches for all of them coming into 14). Certainly AJ's numbers would be better with last years receivers, but last years receivers numbers would be down significantly with AJ after Mett.

We are still getting the Offense we saw against Iowa last year. Most said first start against decent defense...I get that, but where is the improvement to this point.

I know Les will try to win a game vs gain experience for players. I don't blame him for that. Sadly, when AJ came out I hoped he was nicked enough to miss a series or two just to see how Harris responded.
