the hype before game is unreal. the talent on both sides is also pretty incredible.

don't see how LSU can't be an annual 23-8 ish team.

we had a great roster last year and had decent rosters the year before.

ready for the Jones Era to end. LSU deserves better.

*I'm by no means saying LSU should be on the level of two historic programs. but to say we can't make the tourney almost year in and out and bring pre season hype and pre game hype is crazy.

Difference is North Carolina folks live and breath freaking roundball, even though they claim to be southern. Louisiana folks live and breath football and basketball will never be as popular as football in this state or at LSU.

even with a football culture we were still able to have respectable teams for many many years and be a tourney team more years than not....

you get this team winning 20 plus games a year the PMAC will follow and so will the fan base.

I planned on watching every game this year but am standing by in silent protest to this staff after watching WSU completely slaughter us.

Yeah in football and then baseball. Look at North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky football programs. Much like LSU's basketball program their football programs will never be on a major level.

I would just love for something exciting to get up for on a week night. Tiger gulp with a pinch of whiskey and a big time top 25 matchup in a packed Pmac would be so much fun on a Thursday night,

nobody's saying we need basketball to be as popular as football. We're merely saying that LSU has been nationally relevant in basketball before, and our fanbase absolutely will support a quality product on the court.

We CAN consistently be in the top 3 or 4 of the SEC, get frequent tourney bids, and make an occasional run. We've done it before -- we just need the right head coach to make it happen again.

You want to pay the Basketball Coach 7 Million a year and make that the number one sport and let Football go to the dogs. About like throwing 7 Million at your Bicycle and letting your Ferrari go to crap!!!

I'd just love for LSU to have a spot in March every year. They don't have to win it all the time. Just make it a have a few runs every now and then. Just a littleeeeee bit of excitement is all I'd need.

I wish LSU would go to a Wichta State model.

Hire a good basics coach. Recruit solid, coach-able players that would stay for 4 years.

These teams may not be flashy, but they go deep into the NCAA tournament.

obviously don't want to detract funds from football to basketball

but to say we can't have solid big 3 sports is crazy.

I would take our baseball atmosphere any day over a dominate hoops program.

Using the 23 Wins in a Season as a guideline in the last 50 years of LSU Basketball there have been 9 Seasons with at least 23 Wins. I think 6 of those were under Dale Brown. So to get a Program that wins 23 on a regular basis would be a major step up in the history of the sport. Also I do not think that Basketball is a top 3 sport at LSU. I think you got to lump it in with some of the other sports after Football, Baseball, and Gym.

I'm going off of the 31 game format

cinsider ingredients 29 games are the minimum I wouldn't be upset with a yearly 20-9 team (slightly above average)

I would never want any LSU program dependent on referees cheating for us to win 10-15 games per year.

Duke/UNC is the equivalent of LSU/Bama in every aspect. Its likely bigger since its both schools flagship sports.
