In other words - “our defense is full of bums and I’m about to take over”

nega-Jaydens were saying all along. Just let it fly.

More to it than that. Plenty QBs just let it fly and lose lots of possessions and games.

I'm speaking to single coverage, especially dowfield and with the defenders back to the qb

He's definitely not wrong. Plenty of small things the offense can improve on even considering how well they looked last week. Not to mention we will face defenses better than Ole Miss. Unfortunately our defense has loads to improve on.

Hell yeah. I’m so glad JD listened to his doubters and Nuss supporters and decided to show his talent and let it rip. Guy has made so much money the last few weeks

Reminds me of 2013 with Mett, but with a much, much worse defense

The sad part is that the SEC was so much better in 2013 than it is now. We coast to the SECCG with this offense and our 2013 defense.

Great start

Defensive rankings so far against teams we have played thru 9-29
Florida St.: defense rank 95 offense rank 47
Miss St.: defense rank 84 offense rank 86
Grambling ? ??
Arkansas: defense rank 47 offense rank 101
Ole Miss: defense rank 104 offense rank 22

Games remaining
A&M: defense rank 5 offense rank 29
Florida: defense rank 13 offense rank 67
Alabama: defense rank 18 offense rank 85
Missouri: defense rank 29 offense rank 42
Army: defense rank 32 offense rank 79
Auburn defense rank 35 offense rank 88
Georgia St: defense rank 96 offense rank 37

First 5 games played only 1 team Arkansas with a top 50 defense ranking 47th.

Hope this offense put those numbers up against these better defenses.

LSU ranking on defense is 114
LSU ranking on offense is 6

A lot of those teams have bad defenses cause LSU played them.

Bama scored 24 points on OM and 350 yards.

A&M scored 24 offensive points vs Arky and 400 yards.

We have the best Offense in the league. Just frustrating everyone because as of now we have a terrible defense. Just a metiocre defense and we probably win the SEC

If our defense was just average, we’d be the best team in the sec

If we realize we cannot fix the defense we should go ahead and push the offense. Could we play faster at certain downs and times and do this. Just stay focused on playing fast and be very calculated in speeding and slowing things up and down. Would take some very good coaching. There will be teams that could slow us dow running the ball. I think we can find a way to stop the run. Pass defense is another story but that would play into the speed football.
If we can score tons we need turnovers to get more touches and not let them keep up. Let are dbs take more risk on jumping stuff. We get burned anyways.

Until the defense figures it out, our offense is the only hope to win.
