good point, are you sure one of the top defensive minds in football will not have a plan to stop one of the oldest offenses in the country with 37 days to plan vs a team that he saw a month ago

no, but I am sure that we will not be running an spread option-based offense since we haven't ran one all year.

If he didn't think Jefferson running the option on November 5th was a real possibility then he isn't one of the top defensive minds in football.

He prepared for it. He may try some new wrinkles this time. We may block it differently to adjust to those wrinkles. It will come down to execution just like it did the first time.

His status is to sit on the sideline and continue his piss poor attitude.

Hi, all.

Is there an electronic version of the article with Lee's statement about his grades/bowl eligibility? Thanks.

I check the Rant every few days, but have never gotten into the fray. So, here we go...

In my humble opinion, Jefferson and Lee are both good, not great, quarterbacks. Each has enjoyed moments of individual greatness (and not-so-greatness), but I think it's more that they've had so much talent around them.

I do think the "why so much JJ all of the sudden" question is legitimate, especially since Lee led the team and was doing so well prior to the Bama game. I agree with some of the others here that, from an outsider's perspective, the mop-up/final-down knee work to which he's been relegated seems like a slight. But, again, I have no idea what goes on there except what I see in the games.

Peace.

dude if lee was in there would have been interceptions

The guy threw 167 passes this season with 3 interceptions, 2 of which were in the same game. That's a 1.8% chance of any given pass being intercepted. JJ threw 83 passes with 1 interception. That's a 1.2% chance of any given pass being intercepted. Big difference

He's not....therein lies the problem.

We will need both QBs to beat Bama.

At the very least, it will keep the defense honest.

If it's JJ all the way, we could be in for a very long evening.

This from a guy who seems to spend all his free time badmouthing Lee on this Board. For example, what you posted this morning:

"But I'm going to be bluntly honest here. If Jarrett Lee came into the NCG and first pass through an interception, maybe even a pick six, I would rejoice a little bit inside."

Classy, and the words of a real Tiger fan.You should be proud of your venomous attitude toward a solid LSU player. (and it's "threw")

If someone said that about JJ, they would immediately be labeled a racist. Hmmmm.

Good job taking that post out of context. I went on to say "Not for the Jarrett Lee or the LSU team, but to the pain you cry babies would experience."

I still stand by that statement.

Maybe you missed it, but CLM addressed his handling of the QB issue with a caller on his radio program back on 11/16.

Here's a LINK to that thread with Audio of the call!

Really, there's nothing more to be said on this issue...but of course that won't stop the non stop bitching.
