You both come on this thread praying that Lee would look bad. But even when he played great! Your stupidity went on and on!
I wrote, probably no less than 8 times in this thread that I hope Jarrett does well and that he was playing well.
But I can also talk about his weaknesses as a player, no matter how unpopular that subject is on the Rant.

Nah... Ridley made a mistake and no one saw him going in 3rd round
Everyone thought Ridley would get drafted except Lester Earl.
People last year were hyping Drake NEvis and comparing him to Suh (and he's in no way comparable).
People thought Kelvin Sheppard was a 1st round pick.
It's an LSU board, and obviously a lot of people are going to be pro-LSU, but being a great college player isn't the same as next level stuff and it's usually totally different types of evaluation.

Seriously, The rant would be 10 times better with two simple bans. It's fairly obvious to everyone in this thread besides them who it is as well
Obviously you are referring to BeeFense and I, but I don't really understand why you think I'm that dreadful of a poster?
Is it honestly just because of my opinion on Jarrett Lee?

you guy's stamina for arguing is admirable to say the least.

I try to be realistic about player's abilities.
But LSU players are ALWAYS overhyped on this board when it comes to draft time, and it's usually by people who don't really know much about the draft or NFL.
I think Lee could be a solid backup. Coming out of college he looks every bit as good as Flynn did. Flynn seems to be a guy that will be making a lot of money in the off season after getting to learn under the best QB in the league for 3 years. Chances are Lee will never be more than a backup in the NFL. he may never even make an active roster, but he has the tools to at least leave the chance of succeeding out there as a possibility. Jefferson, not so much. I think Lee gets drafted in the 7th round at best but more than likely will be invited to a camp as an UDFA. All he can ask for is a shot, and he'll get that.

People didn't know what they were talking about, then.
Ridley's combine numbers were favorable to Ingram. IN fact, I said he basically was Mark Ingram, with less tread on his tires.
By year's end:
Ingram - 122 carries, 474 rushing yards
Ridley, 87 carries, 441 rushing yards
I'll stick to my guns on that opinion, they will have similar career numbers.

No.. I honestly think your arguments would be just as bad if you chose another point to champion.
1) this thread isn't about nearly anything you've been talking about
2) Everytime someone gives Lee props in this thread you shoot it down, (usually with personal opinions that make nearly zero sense)
3) you seem to enjoy starting arguments, which is why I think the ban is appropriate.

I would disagree. I liked Flynn as an NFL prospect. Good mobility, above average arm.

I don't think either will be drafted. Both MAY get camp invites, but I'd be really shocked if either stuck.

I recall him saying no way in hell that Jacob Hester would play in the NFL...

I agree with this
I just don't think you're any more competent than anyone else here in evaluating talent
You seem pretty inept overall actually

not at all. I'm going to have fun laughing at you limpdicks when he succeeds in the NFL.

This thread is about Jarrett Lee, his performance in this game and his football career going forward. I think I've stayed on topic pretty well.

That's not true at all. Not even close to true. I made several positive remarks about Lee throughout the thread.

It's a message board. If you don't like argumentative discourse, this probably isn't the place for you.
And I've done nothing more than offer my opinion. I didn't insult anyone, tell them they were stupid or be an "a-hole" as you have alleged. I merely said I disagreed. If I can't disagree, then this must not be America.

Well, coming from the guy who said Reggie Bush was a Pro Bowler and Jay Cutler was leading the best offense in the NFL, I am definitely insulted.
Posted on 1/16/12 at 11:04 pm to OBUDan
I never said that Reggie Bush was a pro bowler
Never said that Cutler was leading the best offense in the NFL either

Well, what is so inept about my opinion of Lee, then?
Posted on 1/16/12 at 11:10 pm to Powerman
Lee played a great game. Kudos to the young man!
Does it say anything about his time at LSU? I don't think so. . .
. . .but that is what message boards are for. . .

A lot of people in this thread are sure that I'm a total moron for thinking he's not NFL draft/NFL worthy, so I'm just trying to dig around and see if any other draft people out there vehemently disagree.
Admittedly, it's early in the process, but on the sites I've perused, Lee is ranked around the 20th QBs. In the last 3 years, the number of QBs drafted has been 12, 15 and 12, and that included some guys like Pat White and Julian Edelman who were QBs in college, but were never going to be in the NFL.
