lots of fat people have this problem.

Yeah, and codeine syrup is an excellent treatment for that I'm sure...

I have had it for 22 years and slept every night with a CPAP....I do not see the problem as it is treatable with a breathing device.....
This is really scary since the damage to the heart is tremendous and could be why he got so big...(apnea patients eat to keep awake all day long)....
Sure hope he gets treatment because it can kill him!

Eating keeps you awake? It does the opposite to me. I could understand drinking coffee.

What a joke of an answer he gave with the codeine as a treatment. Codeine would certainly make the situation worse, causing him to relax more of the throat muscles whichs causes more collapse of the tissues of the throat. It also decreases respiratory drive. If someone gave that as an rx for sleep apnea then that guy is similar MJ's MD.

I don't care about everyone's judgments about him. He was a great LSU QB, and I'll always like him. If he ever made it back to the NFL, it would be the greatest comeback story of all time so I'm pulling for him.
Screw the haters.
Screw the haters.

Really? I searched for "sleep apnea" and "jamarcus" and YESTERDAY'S ELEVEN PAGE THREAD came up as the FIRST RESULT for both.
So, you're either:
- LAZY
- LYING
- BLIND
- BORDERLINE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED
...or some combination of all four.

It actually was a joke of an answer. It was something the wordsmiths out there like to call sarcasm. And Jamarcus self-prescribes.

I knew your answer was sarcasm, I was talking about Jamarcus.

You're right! Great thing we had him for that 2007 Championship...
Oh...wait.
Seriously though, a great talent that could have been a great player with the proper drive. He did not have much of it at LSU and whatever he did have sure the frick evaporated after he got that guaranteed $$$.
I don't consider him a bust because I fully expected him to falter in the pros. I consider him a disappointment, and a wasted talent (see Crash's speech about Nuke on the bus about not respecting the game).

This is part of a bigger story he posted in this week's Sports Illustrated magazine.

I have trouble understanding some of our "fans" hating on a former Tiger. Might be bank account size envy. But I shouldn't be surprised- he was hated on while here although he was like 24-4 as a starter, and tied some LSU passing records, won a Sugar Bowl, etc.
