Selfishly want him to come back, but the right business decision is to go get drafted in the first round.

Whatever he chooses, he's a tiger for life, no doubt.

So that's the day he makes it official? He is has been a great tiger, he will surely be missed. He had class and always gave his best. Best of luck Mr. Adams.

I aprreciate JA making me feel like there is a chance lol. I know it is smart for him to go, and I wish him well. He had me from the first flop though.

Good luck, Mr. Adams. You have played your arse off for LSU and we thank you for choosing the Tigers. Represent DBU well at the next level, as we all know you will. You earned your money, now go claim it, and lay some wood for LSU on Sundays.

If JaCoby Stevens is anywhere near the player you are, and if John Battle continues his emergance, we are in good hands for the foreseeable future.

I know he's going, but the homer in me is saying "why would he announce a decision date just to say that he's entering the draft." Think the reaction to that would be "yeah, no shite. But announcing he is returning for his senior year? That's more of a reason to set an announcement date.

He is in no way a top 5 pick. I think mid to late first round

Dupre can earn millions of more dollars if he comes back and performs well in Canada's offense. The bowl game is a glimpse of his potential

Will you people just stop with this "millions more" bullshite?

Rookie contracts are limited now. If a player can get drafted at all and make a team, he should go. The object now is to get to the NFL and start working on that second contract as early as possible.

I really like that way of thinking. And don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to get him back one more year. But I just feel, for his sake, that when he's a definite top ten pick, he's just not gonna do any better by staying another year. Unless the guy really, just REALLY loves college ball and wants to finish his degree, I can't find a plausible reason why he wouldn't go to the next level.

I mean, Tre White and Beckwith came back back because of "unfinished business", and it would have worked out great for both, if not for Beck's ACL, though he's still gonna make a ton on Sundays. But the unfinished business was winning a natty, and they were nowhere close to that. This coming years team looks less set to compete for a CFP spot than last year's. But then, maybe I'm too used to the former coaching regime. Maybe Canada can make this offense adequate enough to take it all.

Even 2nd and 3rd rounders should go. It is about getting the rookie contract finished faster. The 2nd contract is the big one. The NFL made sure of that after Jamarcus and Bradforder soaked up millions.

This is mostly true unless he believes he can be a first rounder. Then the bonus potential is much more lucrative. Look at last years draft and the bonuses of the Top 15. That's why Collins was better off going UNDRAFTED than drafted late. He could get to his second contract faster. His loss was about 7 million though. He can get that in year 4 if he continues to get better or signs with another team.

The money in rounds 1-2 is much different and GUARANTEED versus 3-7.

Here is an excerpt from Forbes on it:
There is also an inherent difference between draftees picked within rounds 1-2 and those between 3-7. Early round draft picks (due in large part to the large investments the teams are making) are much more likely to have their salaries guaranteed. Secondly, the NFL's collective bargaining agreement has a provision referred to as the "25% Increase Rule" which prohibits a rookie's base salary plus bonus from increasing by more than 25% each year of their contract. This is why larger bonuses then allow for a significantly increased salaries in subsequent years as compared to later round picks. The 4-year minimum base salaries for players in this year's draft are as follows: $450,000 (Year 1), $525,000 (Year 2), $600,000 (Year 3), $675,000 (Year 4).

First rounders must go, others should stay. I want Adams back 1 more year under Aranda's scheme

I get it but why does it seem that Alabama has 1st rounders every year that come back. Last year and I could be wrong, Allen, Jackson and Foster were not all projected 1st rounders if not high 2nd's?

Man I have a feeling Adams might return! The kid loves LSU and the college life.

According to projections, he's the fourth-most talented player.

He should enter the draft.

Not mad at ya Jamal.
