The biggest indictment of the 2016 NFL draft could well be that 30 cornerbacks were chosen before the Eagles took the competitive and feisty and NFL-ready Jalen Mills, the 233rd overall choice last spring; he was a pesky blanket in Washington on Sunday.

Scouts love their measurables

There is a reason mills started over Collins as freshmen. Then white and Robinson passed up Collins as well the following year.

Collins has been the highest drafted so far

Jalen Collins played very well his last year, but I still dont get why he was so highly rated for the draft.

and then there's this from an eagles blog

quote:

Jalen Mills needs to cool it before he gets a reputation
Jalen Mills had another rough start, getting picked on short and then beat deep, with Kirk Cousins bailing him out on one occasion by missing DeSean Jackson and Jackson dropping a pass. That’s going to happen when you’re a rookie giving up a couple of steps on a WR. But when the going wasn’t bad, Mills was pathetically cocky. Anything remotely positive happening in front of him, he was waving his finger like he was Dikembe Mutombo. Except Mutombo would do that after actually making plays, while Mills was finger wagging off target passes. He’s going to look like an even bigger fool against the better QBs coming up on the schedule.

I think I'm most happy for Dillon Gordon. My boy gonna make a nice 450k this year.

I clearly understand that, but one of my good friends is 6 foot 1 who ran a 4.5 in high school. Why isnt he in the NFL?
