That's because the stress fracture is in his elbow. Read the latest article. It says its more than just a stress reaction in the elbow and has developed into a fracture. The shoulder has too many structures within it to be prone to stress fractures. The elbow is stressed every pitch and all of the structures within the inside of the elbow attach at one smaller bone as opposed to the shoulder
