Yes, I don't doubt that he was all over the field and batted down some passes like y'all are sayin, I'm just sayin that as much as he was hyped you would have expected him to do more damage to LSU especially with the OLine we have. The kudos go to the OLine for a great job!! They rose to the challenge!!

Make no mistake about Clowney, he is legit. He has the potential to be as good as he wants to be. LSU Oline played their hearts out, good game planning and schemes to neutralize him. Again, the O line felt they needed to prove something (justifiably so), their pride was on the line, they have been criticized all season, and they made a hell of a stand last night.

I don't doubt that, but he had 0 sacks against a bad OLine! You have to make plays every week not just every other week.

O-Line showed up to play, probably best O-line play we've had all year. Offense schemed around him too. Guy was good, might have been an even bigger problem if their defense could make a play elsewhere than him.

Despite all the bad mouthing the offensive line played well in the last two SEC games! Go back and watch the AU game. Running backs or Mett were responsible for all of the QB pressure problems... not the line.

A non factor against a patchwork OLine last nite. Montgomery and Mingo are just as effective as he is!

wow, this is why you're not an NFL scout!

Apparently you're blind? He was all over the field and we probably would have had 10-14 more points if he wasn't wreaking havoc!

We pretty much ran away from Clowney 80% of the night, would have been stupid to run at him.

One - he is pretty much the best player on South Carolina's team

Two - It is a big deal as he is a very good player

Three - We schemed around him (successfully)

Four - Either he had a bad night, our blockers had a great night, or both

Great pass rusher, unimpressed by his run stop ability. Could have something to do with reads, that'll come with experience.

That said, dudes good. Gonna be a first rounder in a year or so.

Seems like you already know the answer.

Clowney was good and made a lot of great plays. But all props go to the game plan and the best performance we've had from our Oline all year.

If they can play like they did against USCe for the rest of the year then our Oline can in fact be considered good. We all believe they have the talent, it's up to the players and the coaches to utilize that talent and put out a strong product on the field. Glad it finally happened.

You're wrong. Even the first few runs were towards his side. The playcalling took advantage of his over-aggressive playing style

You are the only poster to have mentioned Dworaczk by name. He had some help, but he did a good job and denied Clowney the chance to dominate the game.

"Gonna be a first rounder in a year or so."

Unless something unforeseen happens, he will be a Top #5 pick. Although it is way too early for this, I've seen him projected at #1 in a few breakdowns. He is a beast.

So you consider sacks to be far and away the most important DL stat? How long have you been watching football? Clowney batted down several passes that ended up killing drives. He was also 30 yards down field making tackles. He was a terror
