Well, they pushed Jones and it didn't work out. So they probably won't have any influence this time around. However, Trent Johnson was hired before they started pushing Jones and Trent was even worse (he won 39% of his SEC games at LSU). Trent is now about to be fired from TCU too (he has won 11% of his Big 12 games...yes, 11%).
So whether the good ol' boys have been involved or not, we haven't been good with the basketball hires. Maybe we should let someone else pick our coach. A fan poll would probably be more successful.

Hopefully some shite happens with the thunder like a first round playoff exit and they fire Billy donovan and he can come coach LSU
