The offense has let this team all year. The offense left the defense on the field the entire second half. 1 first down and 36 yards in the second half will get you beat every game. Yes we score points but we are way to inconsistent.

Look how bad the cowboys looked defensively when Tony Romo was out..
Most teams feed off how well each side of the ball plays.

What the excuse for the Defense with these opening drives by other teams (ex. Alabama, Ole Miss, Ark, Troy, Florida, to name a few)?????

I agree that the offense was very inconsistent all year, but how much of that comes from teams loading the box because we didn't have a quarterback who could start games in rhythm?

Now did you not see the difference in play calling in the first half and the second half minus the opening TD? Someone decided to put the leash on the offense and it bit the team in the arse when the defense started acting stupid.

It's hard for the offense when you're always playing from behind.

I'm not saying that our play calling on O was great either. I actually would have liked to see some creative run plays...really focus on the strengths of the offense...similar to Georgia Tech. Instead we put all the weight on our RS Fresh and True Fresh QB. What a shame.

Is this a Co'DC bailout attempt? Mistakes I can live with. Not knowing what the hell to do on D is entirely different. This D was terrible. Did you watch the games. Did you not see the confusion and poor positioning of players? Does this not correlate back to the DC, in our f'ed up case, CO'DC. I expected to be streaky on O given the circumstances, which we were. We were 10 times healthier this year on D vs. last year, had at least half of the starters back, and we were terrible.

I think we should have said the hell with the pro-set offense we typically run and should have went with a navy style offensive playbook.. with wishbones.. power-set formations.. just come out and manhandle people and pound the rock.

My point is, the entire team need an overhaul; Special teams(mainly punt return) defense and offense.

we started nearly every game with our power-set formation. What we needed was a dual back set and not be so obvious. Our play book is fine, its just our run calls were obvious and when your quarterback starts out every game 1 - 10 teams just stack the box and play the run with man coverage on the outside. Our inconsistency was simply rhythm. I don't think we took an opening drive down field for a touchdown against any of our good opponents.

O will come, the guy starting on Fri didn't even expect to play this year, and we needed him to try to save the season as a 18 year old. He put up 30 with no turnovers. That should beat ARK EVERY TIME

Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!?!?!?

What team have you been watching?!?!?!?!?

It doesn't matter if LSU's offense goes three and out. LSU's defense should be able to get a few three and outs itself when it counts, and it could not.

Was it the offense's fault that T. Johnson got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct AFTER the defense had stopped Arky deep in its own end of the field? Was it the offense's fault Rahim Alem had a brain fart a short time later for the same penalty, resulting in another first down? Was it the offense's fault that Peterson dropped an interception on that last drive that would have ended the game? Was it the offense's fault that the Hogs drove right down LSU's throat on the opening drive of the game?

Bottom line, son: LSU led the game 30-14 late in the game and lost 31-30 to a crappy team because the defense couldn't stop the other team. Had the defense been doing it's job, it wouldn't have gotten tired, because it would have gotten ITSELF off the field.

i disagree with this. The offense is fine its just needs to find rhythm no need to change what puts up 30 points a game and 24 in sec play.

The defense everyone knows needs change.

punt returns we just need to teach our guys how to block better off the snap.
