It's hard not to get excited about a new coach, a new era, a new offense

I don't want to come here and bash Les Miles...Yes I am guilty about it...but I think I am done venting for now at least.

Certainly without the coaching board up, we're using the rant to express our feelings.

Most of us respect Coach and Love Coach Miles off the field...he has been a great Representative of LSU... won 132 games thus far...2 MNC appearances... Not too shabby

but the time has come for change in leadership. It just is, and everyone knows it's about to happen.

I guess my point would be, let's try to be positive so the players aren't completely discouraged...and we don't depress ourselves in the process.

try to enjoy the wins and the struggles as we journey into the SEC schedule

And what will be will be come November through Feb...

With hope, there is the possibility of great and exciting times in LSU football ahead.

I'm hoping for Jimbo or Tom Herman to pick up where Miles left off...until then Geaux Tigers!

I agree. I wish there was a way us fans can somehow positively support the players while also respectfully let coach know we appreciate what he's done but are ready for a change. Unfortunately, our fans will resort to exiting games in droves and yelling vulgarities.

I just hate having waste a whole season with talent like we have. And I fear how far this could set the program back if we don't find the right replacement. I watched LSU since the late 70s when Charley Mac was on his way out. This has the exact feel because of the administration in place can they make the right damn hire.

Agreed, hoping for a loss Saturday night so this clown can finally be canned!

If this administration can somehow pull off hiring Tom Herman (which I have zero faith that they are capable of) the enthusiasm will be sky high. Don't get me wrong, I'll take Jimbo, but Herman is the grand slam a program like LSU needs. Now it all comes down to whether the football braintrust can make it happen.

This is always the fear with LSU, but the timing is pretty good right now. Had this happened 5-6 years ago we probably would have been looking at a Tuberville/Nutt type of hire. I'm not big on pulling the hot commodity out of the mid-tier ranks, but it's pretty obvious that Herman is the name at this point.

His career trajectory points straight to him taking a top tier job, whether that job is LSU remains to be seen. His track record speaks for itself.
