It's funny watching people say "O with a great OC" or "paired w/ a good OC"

Coach O with an elite OC and Aranda at DC is ideal for LSU = Coach O isn't the long-term solution.

Yes I do....I don't want O to keep Ensminger calling plays......

I know my major deficiency against the best team in the country is on the OL and DL........

I know that O can recruit that position better than anybody.....

I know that O isn't an offensive mastermind.....

I know exactly what I'm saying......I want a HC who motivates, leads, and organizes....

I want an OC to coach and gameplan offense

I want a DC to coach and gameplan defense.

If you're implying in any way that Fisher is the answer then...no.

He is NOT the answer. Miles v. 2.0

I want a head coach who is the best coach on the team

Who here with a straight face can say Ed Orgeron is a better football coach than Dave Aranda?

Herman Please! He's not perfect, but out of who's available he has the most long-term potential.

Aranda paired with a great OC is better than O paired with anything.

Be careful what you wish for. Coach O with Aranda and Raymond leaving may be just that.

Coach Oregon has a better record as interim than jimbo does the past couple of years. It's highly possible he's improved since his time at Ole miss.

We are a top 10 program who finally got rid of our handcuff, and instead of throwing our money at proven winners, you want us to give Orgeron the keys to our program to see if he's changed?

All we have to do is give Coach O the best coaches at every position to do the coaching, there's no possible way he can frick it up right?

Coach O is the type of recruiter to compete against Saban for players!! Herman and Fisher are not. Herman and Fisher are better offensive minded coaches than Coach O, well DUH! Of course they are Coach O is a defensive coach. The best chance we have of keeping Aranda is if Coach O is hired and we all forget way too easy but defense wins Championships! Herman would be another Hugh Freeze in the SEC........how many SEC championships has Freeze won?? Fisher is a proven coach especially on the offensive side of the ball and developing QBs but his defenses struggle. Our best chance to compete for championships against Saban is with Coach O as HC, Dave Aranda as DC and a great hire as OC who can develop QBs.

Best in what regard? X' s and O's, position specific technique, motivation, organization, or managing the game (clock management, when to go for it on 4th, fakes, etc)?

O is a great position coach, has shown himself to be a good motivator, organizer, and (with a couple of exceptions) has done a good job with managing games.

As for X's and O's, no he doesn't have aranda's innovation and imagination, but that really isn't relevant. As a head coach it's his job to recognize and provide a platform for talented coordinators.

Now having said all that, if he gets the job that's great. If they give it to Herman or Fisher that's great too. The world is grey - I think all three of them would do a really good job because they're competent people.

Nothing? He's .76 as interim at USC and LSU, turning around two losing teams. Fisher is .72 since Jameis left.

Orgeron will most likely end up this season with better than .80 winning percentage taking over losing teams during the season.

Coach O has shown that he lets his coordinators coach their squads. He lets Aranda do his thing. There is no reason to think that he won't do the exact same thing when he hires a great OC. Orgeron's ability to recruit coupled with the fact that he is from Louisiana and that totally understands what it all means to be a LSU Tiger, cannot be overstated.
