I remember reading LSUmatt's analysis of our chances in 07 after we lost to Arkansas in the last regular season game of the year. We had 2 loses and he had us at a 1% chance to get to #2 so we could play for the BCS. Well we all remember what happened. We have a much better shot this year because we only have one lose and there are 4 slots.
Alot of football left to play gentlemen! Maybe we can slip into the 4th spot and win the whole thing. We can beat anyone in the country that isn't custom built to beat us (like Bama)

Dude... If we were not alive, we would be like any East team. Literally 0% chance, mathematically impossible, to win the West.
But the reality is, we ARE alive. We DO NOT control our own destiny, this is true. But we ARE alive in the SEC West.
For Gods sake we have the same record as the team in 1st. They have two more SEC West teams to beat, this is not a done deal.

That was a different era. The media is so biased against having two SEC teams in the playoff and is hoping so badly for 4 dif major conference teams so that they can have the nationwide coverage that LSU will not have any chance at all at getting into the top 4, no matter how obvious it is. I dont care if us and Bama are the only two teams left standing with only one loss, LSU will not have a shot if they dont win the SEC. To do that, we need Bama to lose which is very unlikely from here on out. Theyve already had their annual slip up for the season and it happened at the right time for them.

I don't think that is what he was saying. I was saying that we might be able to sneak into an at large bid even if Bama wins the SEC (might be easier if they lose to Florida in the SEC championship game). I think everyone know that if we win the SEC with 1 lose we are in.

We dont have to be a miserable prick, no one does. But we also dont have to be a fricking pumper with a god damned rainbow stuck up our arse. The sad thing is, anything to contradict what the pumpers say or anything negative in anyway and you get attacked for "not believing" in this team. Of course we'll all watch the fricking game and we will all root as hard as we possibly can, but forgive us if we're not exactly spinning shits and giggles right now about the outlook of the rest of our season after we just got our asses handed to us on national television by a team that has been our biggest nemesis and is contstantly the thorn our side standing in the way of having a shot at multiple titles. So hard to get excited for Arkansas. I just really don't care about them and LSU has a bad habit of keeping them in the game. Hopefully they don't fall flat on their face this go around.
