Will Hammink see any meaningful playing time? Anyone getting redshirted?

People who care about LSU basketball. I'm assuming you're not one of them. So you just look like a douche for posting in this thread. Good job.

He didn't see a ton last year and only had 1 or 2 flashes of being more than a bench player. It'll be even harder to show his skills with the influx of talent this year.

That said, we knew he was a developmental guy when he came in. I can't speak for how he's progressed in the offseason, maybe someone else can.

I hope Hammink turned the corner because he has potential, but he was always a step or two behind. I think he is probably 3rd on the depth chart at any position so time will probably be scarce.

I got the impression before last season that Shane could have possibly started.

Are his younger brothers/brother considered better prospects?

I'm not sure what you mean here. He wasn't on the team before last season. He was extremely raw last year too. Provided little more than a body. Not trying to be harsh, I think he has potential. I just didn't see anything to warrant a bigger role just yet. Maybe he's made strides in the offseason, but I don't know.

ETA: I think you mean that based off of hype around him coming in that you were under the impression that he could have potentially started last year. I don't think that was ever really much a possibility to be honest. He had and still has a lot of developing to do.

Cool video. Its nice to see LSU Basketball relevant again. Thanks for sharing.

No reason fans can't be excited for more than one sport regardless of the time of year.
