Quarterback Development: History of Progress
All four QBs had remarkably similar numbers for their first year with 25+ passes in the SEC. The clear trend is for LSU QBs to improve year over year.

Although there have been outlier college QBs who have performed at an elite level during their second year, that is not the norm. However, it is the norm for LSU QBs, like other college QBs, to get better as they get more years of experience. Harris may have been shaken after the Florida game, but there is little reason to expect that he cannot develop year over year like his predecessors. It is rational to expect Harris to be a better passing QB in 2016.

Harris Will Be Bigger and Stronger, and Miles Will Have More Faith in His Backups
In 2015, if Harris had gotten injured, it would have been rational to expect QB play to decline precipitously. Thus, it was a rational decision to not put Harris in a position to take a lot of hits. It made little sense to call many option plays that put Harris in the line of fire.

In 2016, there will be better and more depth behind Harris. In addition, Harris will be bigger and stronger. Therefore, it is rational to expect Harris to be used more in the running game. A ball-carrying QB reduces the eyes and pressure on Fournette. It is rational to expect Harris to be a better running QB in 2016.
