Les will be done after the Texas A&M game this weekend. His opening comment today at his press conference said everything...."Let's go to work, let's rally the troops. Let's enjoy the men that I've hired and the young men that I've recruited. Let's coach em hard and go win victory."
Basically defending his coaches(Cam and Steele specifically) by saying "the men that I've hired". I just wish he would have said today that he was resigning effective immediately after the A&M game. He then could have coached his last game in Tiger Stadium and be carried off into the sunset on the players shoulders. It's too bad for Les, but I am excited that this program is heading in a different direction for the better.

He cannot resign outright. He has $15 million reasons why.

Forced to resign is how I should've put it.

How would they force him to resign? Threaten to fire him, in which he walks away with 15 million? Empty threat there. Would have to have something on him to force resignation.

I think Les was told last week that his buddies/ coaches were not coming back next year. Les doesn't want to fire his friends and bring in new guys knowing he only has a few years left before retiring. In a way he's the one that started all this by saying he will rather go ahead and retire now on his terms with his boys than ditch them to save himself a few few more years with guys he doesn't know or trust. Call it forced retirement so he's gonna get most of the buyout
