Some people's whole life is LSU football, they'll never understand your logic.

It's only one loss, one year, one recruiting class, one losing season, one winless season in the SEC....

I both agree and echo others' thoughts about the severity of the loss. LSU has had few undefeated seasons, and none recently if you count the post-season.

On the other hand, LSU has never done this poorly in a contest with Mississippi State - a series going back to the 19th Century.

So, you are correct that it is only "1" loss - other opinions are also correct that it is a glaring loss with no real positives to point to, other than Devin White and, perhaps, the play of Darrel Williams. Both players are to be commended for their efforts well after the competitive phase of the game was over.

I'll agree with you for now, but only because the rest of the SEC is really down this year. Bama still the same. I think MSU will surprise a lot of people this year. Offensive game plan and execution need to get better. And LSU can't expect to just walk on the field and win the game...they need to prepare well during the week and come in focused and fired up on Saturdays.

At least when Miles lost to inferior opponents it was close.

We got blown out by Auburn in 2014, but they have recruited nearly head to head with us.

Imagine losing to TCU by 30, Nebraska by 30, Texas by 30, or UCLA by 30. Those teams rank around where MSU does in terms of recruiting classes.

We don't (didn't) even lose to Alabama by 30 and they've had the #1 class for 60 years in a row.

I think we're about to learn that sloppy, undisciplined play isn't an outlier with Orgeron.

It's the norm.

Worst loss by a ranked LSU team vs an unranked opponent since '45.
But yea let's pump the brakes.

Get your head out your arse.

Show me a competive LSU team lose Saturday and I'm on your optimistic wagon, believe me.

Please tell me you are more intelligent than your statement makes you appear to be!. It ain't the loss, it is the way we lost that is the problem and why people are going bat-shite crazy over this loss. We were beaten in every aspect of the game, that is the reason for concern!
