this year. From this board, to people I overheard talking this weekend to the daily radio call-in shows. The Miles haters are out in full effect after one fricking game. I don't want to hear shite when we get some things fixed and beat UGA on the road and are staring down the barrel of a top 5 match up with UF in a few weeks. By then, HOPEFULLY, the roaches will be back in the wall.

All the sunshine pumpers are also saying the same thing as last year.

I'm not negative and im not a pumper but man if there is one common theme right now it's..... things will get fixed. I'm pretty sure we heard that all last year too.

For the record, I'm not worried until I see this Saturday. After Vandy I will make my conclusions on where I stand for this year.

Either way I will 110% support my Tigers!

Ah yes........because you've seen 1 game you have all the answers as to why we wont beat UGA.......

I think we can beat UGA because Jefferson is a poised qb........

And tell me one Coach who doesn't insist on this?

That's why people get aggravated because all the stuff we heard that we've been doing the past 9 months didn't happen the other night. We looked like last year's team and that upset some people .

I have not been a Miles hater (in fact, quite the opposite); however, I am beginning to have some reservations with some of his coaching decisions. The one that sent me over the edge was the timeout debacle at the end of the first half. Even if we had prevented them from getting a first down the clock would have run out. We did nothing but extend the half for them with absolutely no upside for ourselves.

It luckily did not cost us the game, but it did cost us 3 points and momentum.

i've said multiple times the ebst thing for the LSU fan base would be a couple lack luster seasons......many are too spoiled/bandwagon to enjoy the good times and choose to bitch and moan instead of realizing how lucky of a fan base we are right now.
Watching the Syracuse vs Minnesota game Saturday..I saw more passion from Cuse fans than tiger fans could even think about lately. After the loss they gave the team a standing ovation for a great effort. LSU fans aren't doing that...atleast not the ones we have right now

Vice Versa then bro........what makes you think UGA is better than us right now?

Is it the 14 points they got in Stillwater? One td was late in the 4th quarter? They just lost there best Offensive lineman......their qb didn't look as effective as ours? I think we will get better over the next 3 games?

I mean you deal Vandy a loss this week and warm up your rhythm with ULL and MSU and you have a lot of confidence going to Athens.

Well I watched UGA and our guys on Sat. and judging from what I saw in one game, we wouldn't beat UGA if we played them right now. I hope we see some improvement and get better.

If coaches or fans insists on perfection they will always be disappointed. The goal should be excellence, not perfection.

Mostly bandwagon. They are on bama nuts when vt had an inexperienced overhyped qb and no running game to contend with. I like the tigers chances against the bama and ole miss's of the world.

thats fair, but dont make it seem like jefferson was outstanding, he was abover-average at best

and UGA wont? why not?

the fact is, we struggled against a bad team on the road, while UGA was in the game and played a tough against a top 10 team on the road

I guess i'm cautiously optimistic. It's hard to read anything into game 1's of the season. There are too many varibles. But, throwing in last season's D issues, i wanted to see more improvement. I sign of good coaching is that their teams improve as the season goes on. I will wait to reserve judgement based on how we improve.

Game one gives you a baseline. Every game thereafter should have better unit performances. I think the offense is ahead of where they were at the start of last season, but still has a ways to go. Saturday was a confidence booster, both for the players and the coaches.

I was not impressed with the overall play of the D, but was somewhat reassured with the improvement from 1st half to 2nd half, though not near enough to erase my concerns.

This team needs to get past Vandy with a win, and head should then head into UGA undefeated. I hope by then we have gelled as both an offense and defense, if not we are in for a wild ride

Yeah and you should always have a part of your game to work on. In trying to perfect you game you achieve excellence.

I think you know what I mean. Never let you players become complacent and always keep them hungry. How do you do this? You strive for perfection.
