My main issue with miles isn't necessarily his offensive philopsophy. I love a run first play action offense. But even I shouted "open up the offense" more than my fair share of times over the last few years. Miles almost lost his job over it, and undoubtedly knows that if the passing game specifically doesn't improve then he may actually lose his job this time. Either miles is just hard headed and doesn't care if he gets fired, or he truly doesn't believe Harris/offensive line can get the job done. I know les and cam can run a good balanced offense, we all saw it in 2013. What's the difference this year? To me it's Harris, but it's not all his fault. Les has yet to truly develope a good quarterback since he's been here. It's been so bad that it's become a joke around college football. Sure, the offense as a whole looks terrible, but every year it all boils down to one position and every year that position underperforms.

You are 100% correct!

I'm not completely sold Miles doesn't want "some" change to the scheme. He knows, just as we do, that Harris can't execute it, the O-Line can't block it, or some other reason that can only be on display in practice.

Regardless, this QB has not shown the ability to get it done. Maybe Ettling can. Maybe he can't. But, he has to be allowed to demonstrate that.

It all boils down to most offensive positions under perform every single team. Oline under performs, receivers have drop problems every single year, including Odell his sophomore year and te's are nonexistent in passing game. qbs obviously under perform.

rb's don't necessarily under perform, but they would be better if oline perform as well at they should. The rbs have under performed frequently against bama.

special teams have been a disaster in recent years.

Exactly. The only QB's he's had success with were developed primarily by someone else and he benefitted from it.
JaMarcus Russell-Jimbo Fisher 05-06
Matt Flynn-Jimbo Fisher 05-06
Zach Mettenberger-Mark Richt 2009 plus whoever the hell the coach was at Butler CC in 2010

So his solution is to have Fournette get beat like a drum?

Y'all need to watch other teams. They spread the defense and allow the qbs to hit short passes. Many qbs with far less talent than BH are putting up gaudy numbers and they don't have the talent LSU has...it's all coaching and system. How many experts do you need to hear it from?

There are plenty of things they can do to help Harris.. They don't try.

I was told that one of the players overheard cam talking to Harris and said, "if OR stands for option right, what does OL stand for? " and Harris said, "offensive line."

ETA: this is not meant to be a joke.

I agree but only to a certain extent. That last throw was Jeffersonesque. First down and throws it DIRECTLY to the defender. No excuses, he's a junior now. Tuck it and run or throw it away.

Every "expert" knows we've been a competent quarterback away for playoff contention.

I've said it for a long time. Either they suck at evaluating QBs or they suck at developing or both.

Remember Aaron Brooks QB with the Saints? He once called a TO at Virgina and ran to the sideline. The coach said wtf?, Aaron said there was only 10 guys on the field and the coach asked him if he counted himself,

I do not believe that Cam, Craig, et al, cannot teach BH how to complete high percentage passes. I'll bet there are 10 kids on the team who can throw short passes if BH cannot. BUT - we don't even try to throw many high percentage passes. Someone has to be mandating that all throws are outside the hashes to minimize INTs. This someone has to be Les. The reason has to be JL pick 6 year of 2008.

Got it. Don't care any more. He needs to get over it or get another job. It's just that simple.
