Just curious...I know LSU is a host site for the 1st round of the NCAA WBB Tournament. With that said, if they continue to tank, are they in danger of not even making the tournament or are they pretty much a lock as a very low seed?

No but at this point they will probably be a 7 or an 8 seed.

I think they're still a lock. Last nights game was tough to watch. The girls were playing with so much effort and heart, and to come back from being down 20 against a team that was extremely physical, is a testament to how strong willed this team is

Hopefully they can right the ship in time.

They will host but a team like Notre Dame or Stanford who are not hosting will be sent to LSU as a #1 and they won't be thrilled about playing LSU on their home court.

But it won't matter, with the way LSU is playing now they won't win the first round game either.

They have the #1 strength of schedule, #9 rpi, no losses outside the RPI top 100. Lots of quality wins. (although...not lately...)

They'll get in, probably as anywhere from 6-9 seed.

Girls at bama and on their way to ending their season. I don't see them in their own regional if they lose to bama and their 1st SEC tourney game.

Unless of course its a standing rule to automatically be in if you're a host.

Bama Is not that good but they are managing to hit 3's by the bag full. No D

They're in, it's not even a debate.

Well good. Maybe there is a shining light somewhere that would give them another win before the end.

The only thing negative about that is their mental attitude. If they know they are in would they subconsciously not focus on the game?

I don't think looking ahead is their problem

I was very excited about the hire of NC. I will wait to the end of the season but I am ready to jump off the bandwagon. This team has too much talent to be playing this poorly. They can't pass, have no offensive game plan, and let the other team fire up uncontested 3s over and over. The substitution pattern does nothing but stop momentum. Terrible job this year.

Talent don't mean anything if the players quit on each other.

What momentum?

If there was a womens's NIT tourney, LSU would be lucky to make that

I'm watching the game versus Alabama right now on the ESPN Watch channel. With 11:43 left in the game, the score is..........

Alabama 53
LSU 39

So, I think it's safe to say that the collapse is now complete. This team went from 17-4 and 6-2 in conference to, 18-11 and 7-9 in conference. We're going to get into the NCAA tournament. I don't think that's in danger................although, I'm not sure that we deserve it..........but we're going to be somewhere around a 9 or 10 seed and will fail to get past the second round. It's sad really. I've NEVER seen an LSU team tank like this after being a conference contender in the first half of the conference season. As I've said in the recent past.................this is not a reflection of talent. There's something internally going on with this team, that we as a fanbase are not privy to. That's obvious.

With that being said, I can't put Nikki on the hot seat just because the team tanked like this at the end of the season. Her previous two seasons, were very good..........especially towards the end of those seasons. However, if this trend CONTINUES into next season, THEN I'll be concerned.

I'm just really disappointed at how this team is finishing such a promising season. A month ago, losing to Alabama seemed inconceivable........much less being blown out by them. Hopefully, the coaches and the players coming back next season will be able to get whatever is the problem, corrected.

The score is now 57-40 by the way.

The momentum we had about 7 games ago. She seemed like she was determined to use Boykin, Hardin and Hill and the team cohesion disappeared. They just look like they don't care and the coach needs to be a motivator. Right now she has players on the floor, none of which can score.
