What a waste that would be on a red shirt.

I thought the same thing but he just flew out of Baton Rouge, I guess for a couple days, and told the security guy he was playing.

Just telling yall what I saw.

FYI the guy is enormous and looking forward to him throwing some folks around!

You sure it was him and not another player?

Not 100% but the guy was 6'2ish and looked like 315+. I looked it up on the roster and he's also the only big guy with that hairstyle. It had to be him.

Maybe the guy was just being optimistic. I can't blame him.

do you know anything about college football???

Why would he waste his redshirt on an insignificant bowl game.

It's a subpar bowl game against ND you can't believe that it's worth burning for that.

If the expectation is that he won't stick around for four years anyway, why not get him some playing time for experience?

The expectation doesn't always become the reality. LSU has had several 5-star recruits that didn't live up to their billing. Craig Loston comes to mind here.

I hope the coaches are that confident in his ability(3 and done), but at the same time a lot can happen in the next two years, injuries, etc.

Redshirt? lol at anyone who thinks we should expect anything more than 2-3 seasons from him. If he's that good, he'll be gone after 2 seasons of action

Eta: if he's eligible, play him!

If he is as good as advertised , would he not be gone after his redshirt sophomore (yr 3) or junior year (without the redshirt) anyway? The redshirt only helps us if he stays at least 4 years.
