I just pulled it off the new roster. He probably will lose 10-15 lbs, but still that is fricking huge.

Can you say 1st round draft choice?

Not as important for him to lose weight now that he's a guard and not a tackle, which he was originally projected.

That being said, dropping 20 lbs for someone his size would be like dropping 5 lbs for most people. Shouldn't be a problem.

1st round draft choice

Look at the pics from practice. Thats the first thing I said... Damn, Herm looks like a fricking barn. Seriously, he was big last year, but he looks much wider this year.

Did he just switch to guard?

Scratch that first round thing then - maybe low first round. If he was a Left Tackle he'd be Top 10.

I think this is correct. Didn't Miles say something about him being a little over weight yesterday?
Either way, it should be easy for him to lose 15 or so pounds.

Uh no. He dwarfes Helms(#74) who is 6-2 278lbs.

He doesn't look fat at all in these pictures from todays practice. His nickname is well deserved - The House.

Miles mentioned something to the affect that only one player didn't meet their weight over the summer but was able to do all the assigned conditioning sprints (100 yd. sprints)....and then he admitted, "that player would be Herman Johnson."

100% correct. all you saying hes a first rd draft pick couldnt be further from the truth. his playing weight needs to be 330-340lb range. the league will not pay big money to a guy with a weight problem. i know hes a massive guy, and rules are different when your 6'7, but if hes not careful, he will eat himself out of a HUGE nfl payday in april.....

(i like the guy, heard hes a VERY sweet man, and it hurts me to say this, but im a draft enthusiast as well as lsu die-hard-- and what i said is the truth about the next level)

Herm is my man of the year. When I saw him up close and personal at Spring Game, I could not believe my eyes. He is tall and wide, almost all muscle. He would scare anyone, yet he is the sweetest guy ever...and a great leader for that OL. No doubt in my mind, he will go first round in the draft!
