but I've never understood why fans think it's a treat to watch a guy stand in the exact same spot and throw a ball over and over and over again to a guy crouching in the exact same spot, and nothing much happens.

Can't tell if sarcastic, but if not ... I can appreciate art and poetry, but I'm not going to stare at a painting or listen to a poem for 2.5 hours.

I was actually going to make a post very similar to this and didn't have time.
I think the ncaa will find that it has killed college baseball in another 8-10 years.
Remember college baseball was nothing, even in the SEC until Skip made it fun and cool to watch. I love baseball, especially college, and even more so lsu, but today's games are borderline unwatchable

Well if Omaha is on your bucket list you are a few years too late. I wouldn't spend the money to see that bullshite style of play now.

2003 was perfect.

Went to the Saturday game against Georgia and a buddy of mine said "damn shame when fans are sighing when a blooper doesn't fall in", and I said "or when a bunch are cheering when there is a walk."

That was a great game pitched by Poche', and I love to watch a good pitching performance, but yes, the luster of the atmosphere was very dim.

That being said, I also noticed how small the players seem to be, or rather, how thin they are. Must be a sign of the times since the steroid era

I went in 2003. That's why 2003>2009.

Sorry bros, I like gorrilla ball x1000 times more than these days.

Watching Larson and Co. Mash bombs is entertaining. LSU was feared.

That's why it will be up to the individual schools. If LSU or any other school produces video of the games like they do now, it will be on there.

If they want to. ESPN may not see the purpose of doing so.

I've been to Omaha 9 different years and each year is more fun than the last. Of course winning the games and seeing the ball fly out the stadium is a blast, but that trip is an insanely good time for many many different reasons.

Yes they will. That was part of the agreement in getting all the schools to give up the rights to all that stuff.

This is nothing new

This is something new. College ball in the late 80's and all of the 90's was a whole lot more entertaining than MLB. At least as an LSU fan. Gorilla ball was and always will be more entertaining than a 2-1 or3-2 game. I do like a good pitchers duel and it meant something back during gorilla ball days to shut ones offense down.
