SEC Network+ via the WatchESPN app

Or you can go to the game in person for literally $1 apiece

Thanks! Live out of state now and was just wondering how I could see the start of LSU's bball resurgence!

Secn+ is basically the same thing as ESPN3

If you have access to ESPN3 it should be on there

You might want to skip this unless you want to hear my tale of trying to see LSU sports on TV.

Lot of confusion but here is my sad story. Don 't watch tv except for LSU sports. Wanted as cheap a package as I could get and still do this. After looking around I went for Directv Now which is a streaming through the internet service. Note Direct TV is a satellite cable service. OK.

I made sure of two things when I talked with Directv Now. SEC channel was included and there was a channel called CBS sports. Looked like I was set for football and basketball as I also got all the ESPN channels.

Somehow or other CBSsports channel does not carry big games between major college teams. You need regular CBS channel for that. Had to go to CBS.com to see streaming there and it was terrible.

So now basketball. SEC+ is not the same thing as ESPN watch. It is also not the same thing as ESPN3 which is not streaming but a cable channel. The Alcorn State game is only on SEC+. Even though I get the SEC cable channel streamed with Directv Now, I do not get SEC+. When I try to watch there and it asks for your cable provider, Directv Now does not work. So I guess I will miss out on five or six basketball games and maybe the football bowl game if it is on CBS or NBC.

It's viewed on the WatchESPN service. I don't know about DirecTVNow, but the log in for PSVue works just fine. I'd definitely suggest that as a cheaper alternative.

roku is just a set-top box to access channels like secn+. Bad advice. Roku's are great but he can already access watch espn/secn+.

He just needs to figure it out. He may have to upgrade his directv Now package. But if he gets the SEC Network on DirecTV Now then he gets SECN+.

DirecTV Now is no different from PSVue in terms of accessing Watch ESPN/SECN+. It's user error in this case.

That's kinda what I was figuring, but I was trying to give this guy the benefit of the doubt here.

There are different packages and if he has the most base package that doesnt get SEC Network then no he won't get SECN+.

But he already said he gets SEC Network so that means he's on a package that also gets SECN+.

I have the SEC network but how is that having anything to do with SEC net+? Are you saying that I have access without using my Roku? How is that possible?

Look, the fact that he thought CBSSN meant access to a live feed of WAFB was enough proof that user error might be at play here

Well yes of course you have access. Just open the watch espn app on your roku and put in your credentials.

exactly. Those aren't even the same channel. But yes CBS is a huge bitch when it comes to streams.

Is this the same guy that was complaining that he couldn't watch baseball games that were on SECN+ with WatchESPN and DirectvNow? All I know is while he was complaining I, and others, had the same setup he did DTVNow w/ SECN and I was able to watch every baseball game available on SECN+ via WatchESPN.

You serious Clark? You thought that the SEC game of the week was on CBSSports?

I'm convinced this the part that people have problems with...that and the fact that if you are on FireTV (and maybe other streaming devices) that you have to go to a different site and put the credentials in on another device.
