To me he is a 3rd down back at best.

And who would you start instead?

Is OU812 worthy of breathing oxygen?

Definitely Ridley and Ford. What has Murphy done to make anyone think he can handle the load?

I'd ask you to explain your reasoning, but you might as well quit while you're ahead.

Get out of here. The team likes him (That's why he is wearing 18) He is experienced. At least let the guy have a chance to show he wants the glory before you make a decision. You only have a few days and you will know if he is good or not.

honestly..what has either of the 3 backs did to seperate themselves from one another, none of them have done much of anything in a game so before asking is murphy worthy of starting ask yourself if either one is

He deserves it. He's earned it and I'm happy for the guy. We can't give him 25 carries a game. He can't handle it. I'm glad he's the listed starter though

Yeah, cuz he's a real bruiser. Were you screaming for Trindon last year on 3rd and short?

What I don't understand is how people who have not been to 1 single minute of practice can say who they think "deserves" to start at any position whether it be RB DB or punter. Until the season starts it's pure speculation for the most part for 99.9% of the fan base. I, for one, dont give a hoot in hell how Imany stars a freshman had in H.S. If he isn't mentally ready to start then he should wait his turn no matter how badly I want to see him play.

Look, we'll all know this Saturday night. I'm a big Ford fan after seeing him in the spring, but maybe he's having trouble blocking and picking up blitzes. Maybe he's not catching the swing passes as good as Rid and Murph. Maybe he's hit a wall this fall camp. One has to believe that with Frank Wilson on board now, there's no favoritism, and everyone's got an equal shot.

I trust Wilson and gonzo thus far. If they think he is #1, I'm with them. Like I said, he can't physically handle 25 carries a game. That leaves room for someone to prove they deserve carries.

This is by far the most mind boggling thing for me from yesterday's game
Why no Michael Ford?
based on the available information,he cannot be much worse to what we saw from murphy,n terms of production and Murphy has had his chance to shine all these years.
Why not give Ford a chance to play.
I hope they atleast play him against Vandy.
