One could make this argument. One could also make the argument that Miles has been very successful, based on the results.

But, clearly one could intelligently argue this either way.

Last year it appeared he had lost the team, and now he there is alot of bad press out there, and players saying they don't want to be here. I just can't believe what I'm hearing today about our program. I have never heard so much negativity surrounding a team with a 9-3 record. It's almost like everything is working against us in the media. How will he recruit agains arse holes like Saban, Meyer and Kiffin. I have never been this concerned with the state of the program, I am beginning to believe Miles days are truely numbered. People on here are talking about in fighting on the team where is this coming from?

Players have been rolling their eyes over Miles since the day he opened his mouth, and it has only gotten worse from season to season. They have been able to see over time that he is lost as a goose and not very sincere when discussing "their individual place" on the team.

We've won games because our players' athletic ability makes up for the lack of coaching and motivation.

I love the Tigers, winning or losing. They're a great team and I love watching them play. Tough times (which these are not) and good ones, it's Geaux Tigers at all time.

I'm not worried about twitter crap and all this negativity some fans seem to have. I;m ready to kick some Penn St. arse.

Yes, you are so right. One kid twittering that he was homesick and should never have left the great white north certainly is 100% proof Miles has lost the team. End sarcasm.

Miles has not lost this team. If anything, his huge self admitted f up in Oxfard, helped band the team together.
If he'd do that EVERY TIME he f's up they'd REALLY be tick tick.

Yep generally 20 year olds will do all the right things rather than getting drunk and hitting on dumb girls. There is no way that some kind of 'coach,' whatever that is, helps these guys to make good choices. Oh and that same nonexistent coach has never helped these guys win either. I mean I would hate a guy that got me to 50+ wins in 5 years. But yea people with no connection to the athletic department are usually right, not just internet cool guys.

Does that include the players he recruited in his several top 5 classes?? They must hate hearing him talk if they came here.

I too hate when coaches make hard choices about who should play and who shouldn't out of a 100 person roster.

Really if you hate LSU that much please go away. We won't be sad, really.

My friend, hating LSU is far from my thought or intent. I have been a fan since the 1950s, and I have learned that wanting the best for LSU sometimes means being truthful about the situation. We have a bad coach who was in way over his head since day one. He was left a cupboard full of players, and we have watched the program deteriorate over time as that cupboard has become bare of the players left to him. Loyalty to a coach has nothing to do with loyalty to LSU. The institution is always bigger than any man or player.

Your reference to good recruiting classes doesn't mean much, since we rarely get to see any performances from our players until they are juniors in eligibility. Our head coach, you see, believes in playing upperclassmen -- sometimes even upperclassmen who walk on -- rather than play one of those top notch recruits.

Lastly, the fact that you dismiss my post as anti-LSU means that you know no one and have no deep insight into what has been going on within the LSU football program over a period of years and over at least a decade. If you knew anyone inside who would be absolutely truthful with you, then you would know that what I have posted has been the case since Les Miles arrived at LSU.

can't get over Saban, I bet you watch bama and marvel at them. Just because you've been around lounger doesn't mean you understand the game more old man. The fact that you state you've been watching our program for 50 years means you should have seen the true bad years archer, hallman, and last two of dinardo. Yet you say our program is headed down and our coach is in over his head when we go 9-3. You should have learned how to appreciate things by now you old bastage. Now do us all a favor and check yourself into golden age retirement facility.

I agree that the program is much bigger than the coach, but do you really think that the program has deteriorated?? From what? Saban never had back to back 10 win seasons, and he had 1 BCS Championship just like Les. If the program has deteriorated then it deteriorated from the three in a row 11 win seasons that LES had. And once again even though players like Dorsey and Hester were Saban recruits, do you really think they just coached themselves up for their last three years???

You must not watch a lot of college football, because this happens everywhere. Freshmen play sparingly everywhere. There are plenty of guys that Les has played that have been productive as freshmen and sophmores, but I guess if they aren't world beaters as freshmen then its Les's fault for not being a good coach?
