If the basketball team eats dicks every year the no. It will bother me when we start making it to the tournament. Let me know when that happens so I can care.

You get what you pay for. I'm convinced that We could put Aranda in charge of the basketball team and he would do a better job than Johnny.

You're missing the point, money buys an offensive coordinator, money buys a basketball HC

Aranda deserves more than Johnny Jones. I don't think Johnny coaches at all. High schools have more set plays than him.

Alleva will certainly have no money excuse for his next horribly botched hire.

They could get rid of both the men's and women's basketball teams and I wouldn't shed a tear.

The fact that LSU is paying Jones 1.5 million bothers me more than the fact that they are paying a DC 2 million.

You pay people well to keep the competition from taking them from you. LSU was the only school willing to "steal" Jones away from N. Texas where he was making ~$600k. Who in the hell is LSU worried might come take Jones? You could argue that even at $1 million, Jones would be overpaid. His market as a HC is basically LSU and North Texas

Basketball is a 3rd tier sport at LSU, so the pay should be as well.

Why can FL and other SEC programs be 3 team schools?

Consider their contribution to their given program then consider salary. BBall team would be better off without JJ whereas footballs defense would be worse in DAs absence.
