I am talking about the administration, not an individual program. I find it poor timing and even worse judgement to:

1.) Increase the length of Miles' contract and buyout
2.) Increase by approximately 200K, Alleva's salary

This takes place while LSU's football program is dealing with active police and NCAA investigations and is found guilty of a major NCAA infraction.

Not the best endorsement of the judgement and intellect of those in charge.

Thats a tough one. It's not looking so good right now but I'd like to see the smoke clear with all the recent activity and see if/what still goes on afterwards

Can't control stupid shite like what Jefferson did. As far as RS that was a bullshite violation NCAA should have used their head.

this is how I see it...we have stayed out of major trouble the last few years unlike many other big named programs...you can't babysit 21 year old kids 24/7...it's no one's fault but JJ's for being in that situation.

+1..in all reality its no ones fault but the players who were out after curfew andput themselves in that situation. they deserve whatever punishment they get, i know 15 year olds that can use better judgement than that

It's how you handle these situations when they occur that is important. From what I can see so far thing are being handled pretty well.

No the program is not! It's not the program Miles inherited it has slipped. In any company it starts at the top that's why CEOs make large money. Les is Lsu football's CEO and our stock is about as valuable as Enrons right now.

I am not singling out the fight. That is just one of a number of situations that seem to point to a lack of institutional knowledge, control, and respect.

I for one do not believe the fight is being handled well or we would not be involved in this debate.

+1, but Alleva and the rest of the administrators are more to blame, in my opinion.

I'd like to know what you would do in the place of Miles and Alleva?

personally, i think once everything comes out the brpd is going to have egg all over their faces and whoever the power that is behind the shady's 4 is going to be exposed and humiliated....

The fight is just another of a continuing string of incidents related to our athletes. Did the "Sahdy's 4" dupe half of the football team into breaking curfew, in spite of the severe punishment that would be handed down by the ultimate disciplinarian, Les Miles?

Do you think we are a stronger program today than we were in 2007? Do you believe LSU athletics as a whole is stronger today than a few years ago?

Jefferson and others made some poor choices and are now paying the consequences of those choices.Russell Shepard made a choice to discuss information he gave the NCAA during the course of another investigation with a teammate.Again, Shepard made the choice and he is now paying for his choice.Regardless how we may feel individually, it doesn't alter the fact that choices have consequences. They are both suspended and that is the bottom line.Make better choices in the future or suffer the consequences.

Yes, not only in the right direction but amazingly so. Times have never been better. One of the premier programs in the country, top recruiting classes, packed stadium, great football teams, best tailgating in the country. The future's so bright I've got to wear shades.

to golf teaching pro,

I don't see this at all. I really don't think we have had any major problems until now, and even these problems are not directly related to his leadership. Remember, he did get rid of Perrilloux after several chances. I like the guy, and I like Aleva also. Aleva comes to us with a lot of experience in handling stupid behavior among players and UNIVERSTIY PRESIDENTS. I am with them becasue I know that every program has moments of difficulty.

BTW, I see your picture is one with Lombardi on, I think, Jerry Kramer's shoulders. I really don't think Lombardi's available. And perhaps you can explain to me why our stock mimics the value of Enron. I would sincerely like to hear your logic.

CLM should have gotten a new contract signed sealed and delivered months ago. He's a consistent winner. His teams play better in difficult circumstances/big games. He's repeatedly shown loyalty to the school. His players LOVE him. He seems to be a man of great character.
What more do you want from the guy? I'll buy all the stock that golf pro wants to sell.
