Better passer IMO. Jackson is probably more agile

Everyone knows Lamar is fast. JD5 is deceptively quick. The way he accelerates away from some DBs is unbelievable for a QB.

JD legitimately reminds me of deer when he runs. So Graceful.

people keep saying Daniels is deceptively fast, but idk

he turns it in gear and that guy fricking flies. nothing deceptive about how he routinely gets the edge on defenders and then splits guys downfield

I think he is more accurate but not as strong of an arm. JD also relies more on his Straightline acceleration while Lamar is shiftier.

I think JD could have similar NFL success if he gets the right OC.

For example, Pete Carmichael could make Mahomes look average while Shanahan is making Purdy look great.

Lamar is bigger and harder to take down. I think probably a bit faster too, which is hard to believe, but he burns past CBs in the NFL. Jayden is similar in skillset though.

I don't know about Jackson but Daniels has progressed in one season as much as ANY LSU QB in one season as I've ever seen. He now sees the recievers on the deep balls and delivers. He's a very impressive young man.

JD has a great ability to feel pressure and run away from it. This causes me to sit up every time. It has to be frustrating for defensive players to think they're finally gonna get him, then they don't.

At this point, I think he is a better passer than was Jackson in college, maybe a lot better.

Lamar probably has a little more top end speed. Feel like JD5 is a way better passer though.

JD5 is playing like he really sees things now. The threat of the long ball will make him a better scrambler and do nothing for the ground game apart from making it more effective.

It really is.

Most people you can tell from their body language when they are sprinting vs a jog.

Daniels looks like he's being evasive and just trying to elude people until you see him speeding by and away from everyone then you realize he's full on sprinting

Yeah, people don't realize how big and strong Jackson is.

if he is slower than Lamar. J.D. has some of the slickest moves of any QB I have ever seen that rivals the very best receivers. He is deceptively faster than he looks.

Please. Jayden daniels is not better than a former NFL MVP.

What he’s doing is remarkable, but he’s not better than Lamar Jackson.

Of course not, but as a college player, it is arguable he is a better QB. Especially when you consider the competition.

That’s what separates him to me. His speed isn’t anything we haven’t seen, but he gets to sprinting speed so explosively. It’s crazy. He goes 0 to 60 pretty much immediately.
