Is it to late for Wade to bring in any players for next basketball season?

I saw some posts regarding players that have signed at VCU. What is the rules for a coach leaving the program, are they allowed to leave and be eligible to play immediately? Are there still some players who have not signed that he could pull? I know it will take a few years to rebuild what JJ left us with, but thought if we could grab a few program players this offseason that we may be able to shorten that duration.

Excited about the hire. Geaux Tigahsss

IDK about that but he will probably bring in some of his recruits

Unless there is some attrition from this season's roster, LSU only has one open scholarship for next season

It's too late in the recruiting cycle for him to make a dent. He could possibly bring in a graduate player. His biggest recruiting job will be to convince Blakeney to stay.

With that being said, the next 2 recruiting cycles here in Louisiana is absolutely loaded with players that can put LSU back on the National map. It will be up to Wade to convince those kids to stay and play for the home team.

He did have a 4 star PF who committed to VCU that visited LSU and had us in his final five. That could be a potential flip.

Targets for Will Wade (2018) Louisiana and their National Rankings:
1. Javonte Smart/6'4 175lbs PG (Top 5) Scotlandville High

2. Josh Leblanc/6'8 220lbs PF/SF (Top 30) Madison Prep

3. Greg Williams/6'3 180lbs SG (Top 40) Lafayette Christian

4. Kobe Julian/6'6 205lbs SG/SF (Top 100) Madison Prep

If Wade can get these kids to stay and play for the home team, the Tigers will have a very bright future

Going to be tough to convince the kids to stay IMO until they see what kind of product he can put on the floor against a power 5 conference schedule for a full season.
