Is it me, or is Fournette lined further in the backfield than normal?

It seems he is deeper in the backfield. Must be for momentum and the toss dive.

They really haven't ran the toss dive much

It was more of a toss to the outside against Ole Miss instead of up the gut

Bingo , also it always looks like the RB is further back in a single back set compared to I formation .

"Good question. But LF appears further back because the defense backs up when he lines up."

He's actually right. Especially in the Ace set. We switched from a base straight ahead blocking scheme to a zone scheme. The running back is place further back to make the one cuts that the scheme creates. Our previous scheme was limiting the mobility of our lineman and backs vision. This will actually work as an advantage against Bama. You can't bash them right ahead. You will get stoned. If our lineman use positioning and speed to create space for Fournette and Guice to wiggle and have 1 on 1 situations with those linebackers and safeties , we have a chance.

This. Rantards see a toss play and they automatically assume it's a toss dive. I dont know if they've run a single toss play to the middle in the last few games.
