taking their games to another level next year? I can't tell em apart, can't really tell their games apart. But for those who saw them at Barbe or maybe earlier, has one always been just a little better than the other and capable of taking it to an All-SEC/All--American kinda guy?

I think what they're doing right now is about their ceilings. they don't have any real tools, they are just gritty players. You saw how Beau feasted on weak competition and the last month and a half of the season his stats took a nosedive. they've always been the guys who feast on FB and mistake pitches. I think they'll go down as very good collegiate players because of their moxie, but nothing much past there, much like Sean Ochinko, Raph Rhymes, and Austin Nola.

They are 4 year college players and will both be vital if the team
Is to make a run in Omaha.

Fair enough.,

But Ochinko dropped some pretty clutch bombs on the championship team.

Yep, thats my point. Nola, Rhymes and Ochinko were vital to LSU for the years that they were here. Infact three of the top players at LSU ever, but they just were built to be college baseball players. To be successful in professional baseball you have to have atleast 3 tools, maybe 2 if they're really legit. But even then its really hard to go very far. When you get into hitting for average, fielding well, running well, etc, then you are a more complete player and thus can be more of an asset to a pro farm system. Those guys listed, and the jordan twins just never really had enough to make them stand out to the pros. Its not a knock on them, and we'll take them while we can have them. Anything more than .300 with some doubles and a smattering of homers is cake.

Very good college baseball players are what it takes to consistently compete for CWS spots. I think the Jordan brothers are damn good college baseball players right now, and that they'll be very good and perhaps more over the next two years.

I didn't interpret this thread as asking what their pro prospects were, but moreso how valuable they could be to our team in the upcoming years. I could see a pretty big leap coming as they continue to get comfortable against top level pitching, even if they don't have much potential at the next level.

Not to kill your whole point but Ochinko was a stud and is still in AAA for the jays. I'd take that for either of the Jordan twins everyday!
I see these guys being like Barbier was in the 90s. Heart and soul kinda guys who'll be the guys who folklore is built upon, if this team continues to grow and succeed
