Seems like everyone says he is just different. He reclassified because he was so good and he is still the TOP CB. That’s insane.

Big want.

Stingley is pretty rare. Like a Patrick Peterson type dude.

Ricks is great, but not sure he’s that. He will be an NFL CB one day though. I want.

An injury prone primadonna (pre-madonna) whose dad calls in to local radio shows to chastise the fanbase?

I’d say more along the lines of a Tre White type. Stingley and Peterson were absolute freaks. We’re very lucky to have had both in Purple n Gold in a 15 year span.

Not sure what Stingley was. He was rated high. Played great as a freshman and then mailed it in. Potential was there but effort wasn’t. Get mad all you want but it’s true.

No I think he means the unanimous all american who was drafted 3rd overall in the NFL draft

But it's not true lol. He had two season ending injuries that required surgery his last two years at LSU.

Will never understand why our fanbase hates our players and coaches so much.

He also played with an injured foot/leg if I’m not mistaken.

No, won't be a day one contributor bc he's undersized but has great upside. Compare him with Toviano who does not have as much upside but is more likely to contribute from the start.

Stingley could flat out cover anyone. Unfortunately, he was injury prone when it came to stopping the run. Very easily injured. Needed to put on some muscle. He knew how to tackle very well, that's not my point. He only got injured when he was making tackles.

Any of you that don't understand this and just like suc*king Stingley balls are really clueless.

Watch how many games he will miss during his NFL Career. Probably retire early for sure.

I'm pretty sure Cormani McClain is the consensus top guy in this class.

Peterson > Stingley

But, your point that it's unreasonable to expect that level of play from your "typical" 5 star is a good one. Those guys were truly elite.

...except for Devonte Smith who continuously abused him. And, he struggled with Kyle Pitts as well.

Both of those guys were absolute studs btw.

Peterson in his time had to man up on Julio Jones and fared very well.

Stingley when healthy was an absolute stud. Peterson, imo, was even better.

Hopefully not, I prefer players that don't quit on their team

I thought the recruiting sites were saying Ricks might need some strength training before being anything like a lock down corner true freshman year. We have zero CBs with another one hitting the portal so Ricks can start day 1 along with Harris or Toviano if he is being projected as a CB.

Not sure any position on the defense is really secure since Sage still looks a little lost at times at NB
