I didn't see his name on the list with the rest of the players. I read Jacques doucet's tweet about how he struggled with the car accident and thought about suicide. He is now a high school coach at Port Allen.

I remember he went a bunch of baseball games his jr year. I was probably 14 years old and went and shook his hand. I was amazed at how large his hands were. My grandfather even mentioned it after he shook his hand. Also, he was a really nice guy and a legit lsu baseball fan back then. Always wanted him to make it.

It's crazy that D. Byrd and chad jones didn't make it in the NFL because of car accidents right before and after the NFL draft.

D.byrd bleeds purple and gold he's a true tiger. Tragic his playing career ended the way it did. He didn't let it bother him though. I still remember 2011 that magical season. After every game we would go to shadys to celebrate.D Byrd would be there hyping the crowd up dancing on the bar/pool tables in his jersey. Fun guy to be around.
