Is coach O actively trying to tank next season?

Our coaching staff is starting to look like a Life Alert commercial.. is coach zero trying to get canned so he can retire on his big buyout? 12 mil can buy a lot of red bulls

No, it just looks that way. There are smarter men than you assuring me that we will be awesome next year. Apparently Steve is really good, he just needed to be given a chance. Well another chance, not counting the other chances he’s had. Let’s just hope everyone turns out to have the same defenses as 2016 Ole Miss and 2016 Missouri. Or even A&M, they suck too.

Tank is an understatement. Sabotage is more appropiate. I can understand a up and coming OC rather a proven below average OC that no one else wanted. People always point to the 8 games he coached in 2016 but those games were against some of the worse defenses in the SEC and when they face top tier defenses it was a disaster. So why hire this man when even the head coach himself is not capable of coaching a powerhouse like LSU is beyond me and tanking is the only resonable answer i can come up with.

No, I believe he is just hiring people loyal to him. I think hes trying to show he can be a head coach by winning his way, with people loyal to him. Instead of working with people who disagree on his direction and compromising to win at all costs. I think he just wants to win HIS way. Which in fairness to him is allowed since he was given the Job, unfortunate as it is.

I was not happy but okay when he was hired. I assumed him to know his role as a motivator and a recruiter. I gobbled up his bullshite about surrounding himself with the best coordinators in the faint hope that a proven winner would be handling the x's and O's. Boy was I wrong.

If he would take a step back and look at his hires/ accomplishments, then he would resign if he loved LSU. His success was hypothetically dependent on his coaching hires and recruiting. Thus far, they both leave a lot to be desired.

I think he's just that arrogant and incompetent to realize just how terrible the moves he's making are.
ETA: I'd also like to point out just how dangerous of a combination arrogance and incompetence are. It's what lead to a 10-25 overall record for O at Ole Miss.

He is not a POLITICAL coach and speaks in RAW words as it were ... that can definitely be misinterpreted
