Is coach Ensminger making a case for keeping the OC job next year?

If CEO is retained as head coach, he will have a decision to retain CSE as OC or hire from outside. Are there any other hot OC's out there that we should go for? In any case, I'm liking what I am seeing so far. CSE is using the talent much better than the previous guy, but haven't really thought much about who else would be a solid hire. I hear Kiffen's name brought up but doubt we could get him from Bama and not really sold on if I'd want him anyway. What say ye?

I think it was posted sometime in the last couple of days about some of the local journalists stating Ensminger is probably happy with his niche as a TE coach and probably wouldn't want the OC job. Speculation, but I think that's the general opinion going around.

Ensminger for QB coach if he's not retained as OC.

Not enough coaches allowed to separate the two...

Due to the limitations of a midseason change, this season may not necessarily be representative of what CSE might run if allowed to install his choice of offense in an offseason.

I dont know if he wants it but he sure as hell is doing a great job right now. If anyone ever paid attention to the sidelines the past few years he seemed to be the only one that had a clue what was going on as for as time management lol

He's doing what we all were pleading for Miles to do for years and that was to losen up the defense.

He's just being aggressive with the pass to where defenses have to respect Chark and Desean Smith along with Dural and Dupre. Which has led to Fournette and Guice having monster games facing 5 man fronts versus 7 and 8 man fronts.

The offensive line suddenly seems to block much better although Tehuma does not to be playing tackle.

They were facing 8 and 9 man fronts.

Ensminger hasn't been an OC since 1998.

Orgeron hasn't been a permanent HC since 2007 (his only permanent HC job)

And you guys want to keep both in those positions?

I love the way we've played these last 3 games.

But really???

Ensminger was the QB coach at Auburn in 2003, but was basically a co-OC and had play calling duties. This was the year after Petrino left the Auburn OC job and got the Louisville job the first time.

It's hard to say who was most at fault, or if it was a too many cooks in the kitchen situation, but their offense was a complete disaster. This was the year that AU's pres and AD were fired for meeting with Petrino about the job when they were planning to fire Tubby. He ended up replacing most of his staff. However, it probably says something that Tubs kept him on as TE coach. But that was the last time before now that he was play caller.

I'm not saying this tells us one thing or another. He may have been a victim of circumstance at AU. He's obviously doing that better than that here now.

IDK let's see how they do against a real defense. I did want to kill him when he called that pass that almost got DEs' head taken off.

I'll let the OC position be up to whoever becomes the next official head coach.

I hated that call too. The first two drives were also pretty wonky. The jet sweep to Chark obviously didn't work either, but I don't think that was his fault because it had worked so well in previous games.

However, what we need to see in these upcoming games is if he can build on successful plays like the Chark jet sweep and use them to create misdirection and disguise other plays. Because if OM sniffed out that play, you know for damn sure Bama will.

Clapp was missed several blocks in that game. Clapp is 64 right? Anyway I watched replays and focused on the Oline he looks like he is favoring that shoulder. Ole Miss linebackers suck by the way our Oline will have to play much better in two weeks for LSU to have a chance.

That team 2 states to the East has 20 consultants and another 40 students scanning social media for them. He doesn't have to "technically" be a coach at all.

So, you like having the #105 passing offense?

We have done great running the ball against terrible run defenses. So fricking what? Alabama has the #1 run defense in the nation.

We go 3-0 against teams with a combined record of 8-12 and all is now great with LSU football.

This shite is funny.
