I always worry about Arkansas. Some way some how they always play us tough. Late FG wins it.

Bet you said the same thing about the Bama game last week, too, huh?

Well, it was obvious that Alabama was stuffing the plays game planed(?) for LF, and LSU kept blindly trying them.

not only them shutting down the run, which they will sell out and they would be stupid not too. But their pass offense is damn good, their QB had a hell of a game last weekend, watched the whole thing...they are hungry and they believe in Bielema no doubt. Plus they always play us tough, its a rivalry game... They are coming off a big win and we are coming off a big loss...I put us on upset alert...

They've been good against the run all year. They shut down Henry, and plenty of other backs.

Not really. They shut down Henry, but have otherwise been mediocre. They're ninth in the conference in yards per carry, and have given up more rushing touchdowns than any other SEC team. Here are their season rush defense numbers.

They do rank fairly high in total rushing yards against, but only because teams would rather take their chances against the worst secondary in the SEC (in yards per attempt, completion %, QB rating, and yards per game).

If you don't think this is set up exactly like last season, you don't know a damn thing about football. Putting R-Kansas a week after Bama in the schedule is horrible timing. If Harris is forced to win this game, I have zero confidence in him.

The two teams with the highest yards per carry against us, Texas Tech and Ole Miss, both had QBs that killed us on the ground. Chad Kelly had 100+ rushing yards and Patrick Mahomes had 2 rushing TDs. Our defense doesn't play well against the spread especially with a mobile QB.

LSU and Arkansas have two common opponents and Arkansas held both to lower YPC in each game

Team was obviously embarrassed and we are back at home. I think we run over Arkansas.

No they haven't. Their run defense was legit LAST year and we came off a debilitating loss at home and had to go on the road in freezing temps without one of our best OL men. We couldn't throw for shite last year.

This year is completely different. Their defense has given up a lot of rushing yardage in several games and a gang of rushing TDs (13 in the last 3 games). Their pass defense is atrocious.

just like last year right? Arkansas is going to go toe to toe with LSU. don't be surprised if they keep it very tight.

If we play our best, the offense plays with the same confidence that it did against Florida and the defense holds them to 21 points or less I think we'll be fine.

That said

--I worry about defending a short field due to special teams derpage.

--I worry about their TE's.

--I worry about getting off to a slow start and falling behind 14-0 before something finally clicks.

Exactly. Arkansas is playing very good now. They have progressed greatly from early season. They will severely test us. We will find out the character of this LSU team come Saturday.

4 overtimes vs Auburn in Fayetteville isn't scary.

There is always the worry, but 7 teams haven't been able to do it so far this year and a couple of them have had better defenses than Arky

stats say Arky is not going to shut down our run game

did everyone just forget how dominant we were before Bama? and Arky does not have Bama's front 7

Y'all "held" Auburn to a low ypc because their backs kept getting stopped by the end zone. Whatever; one fluky win and the hawgs are suddenly good enough to hang with the Carolina Panthers

other than Florida who exactly have we played that has talent defensively?

Arky has some big linemen...just because their defense might not have the numbers they still match up well vs. our defense. You can't just say their defense sucks when they have played all spread teams.
