but Jefferson wasn't the answer at SS
Based on one game? He played really well at times last year and as a true freshman. I really like the possibility of he and Mills at safety.

And I agree on the DL, though they were pretty dominant against Iowa from what I recall. I know we lose Ego and Freak, but we've got some fairly experienced depth up the middle in guys that will be hungry to prove themselves. And Hunter and Rasco is a mean combo at DE.

Gonna say this again. Welter will not start over Beckwith.
I'm beginning to get the feeling that your the type who looks for the negative on everything to keep from being disappointed. Amirite?

Defense will be improved, as was evident as last season wore on, which will help our young QB out a lot. That young QB, whoever he may be, will have a solid & veteran Oline as well as 3 very good RB's to lean on while he & the young receivers work things out. I wouldn't say LSU is "rebuilding" because teams who rebuild aren't considered to be pre season conference champion & playoff contenders. The defense will slow games down & give the skill players on offense good field position & take a lot of pressure of of them. This season, especially early on, will be run, run, run, throw when you have to, eat the clock up kinda football. As the season wears on & the level of competition increases, the QB's will have had time to adjust to the college game & will be called upon to do a little more. But with a solid D, a very good & experienced Oline, Hillard, Magee, & Fournette in the backfield, LSU is going to depend on it's strengths & not it's young inexperienced QB. There are a lot of questions in the West & anything could happen but LSU will be fine.

This x 1000. Unlike in years passed, I have the utmost faith in our OC to put our guys in the right position to succeed.

Not necessarily rebuilding.
To me, if we can start out 5-0 going into the crucial two-game road swing at Auburn and at Florida in early October, we have a chance to have a double-digit-win season.
If we are lucky enough to start out 5-0 and split the Auburn and Florida games to go 6-1, we will probably be favored over everyone else on our schedule, maybe even the Skoal Drool Detgerent Head Things.
It all hinges on our O-line protecting our young QBs and opening holes for buga, Kenny, Magee, Wms, etc.
If we can control the ball on offense, it will make our inproved defense spend less time on the field.

not sure why you think you get to make that decision

Offensively - YES, no matter what the tards here say.
Defensively I say No should be improved and pretty solid imo fwiw tbh
I'm with Mick. Offense is going to be a disaster with LF getting about 70 carries a game. I like both QB options we have, but they can't throw it to themselves. If our QBs throw for 1500+ yards I will declare Coach Cam to be the world's greatest OC.
On D, the starting ends look good, as does that Lochkatre fellow. Beyond that, we fukked. Jordan Allen would have been a nice #3, but hey, what can you do? LBs should be better, but they always should be and they just aren't. I mean, you can count on Kwon, but who else is SEC ready? I want to see Beckwith or however you spell it as bad as anyone, but he'll be a first year guy. CBs are going to be lights out, but who's over the top?

10-2 or 9-3 call it what you want, we'll be better than that in 2015

Yeah, but I've learned not to be overly positive about anything out of fear of being ostracized and branded a "pumper".

who's predicting this?

I think our D will be much better, and that a ball-control offense will help the defense as well.
Truly, I think we start the year as a "rebuilding" team, but that this team quickly builds chemistry and is markedly better by November.

Not sure why you think Welter is the automatic starter. I'm not sure if you have been keeping up with scrimmages/watched the spring game, but Beckwith has consistently performed better than Welter.
Cream rises to the top.
But I'm sure that no matter how much evidence is presented to you (veridical or anecdotal), you're going to maintain your pessimistic view of this team.
That's fine. But please languish in your shitty worldview quietly. The rest of us are busy letting the excitement of a new better football season build.

And yet...no one is going all chicken little. Sorry to disappoint. The jury is still out on this young team. There is no way to know for sure that what looks good on paper (for the D) will pan out on the field. The O is going to struggle to some degree no matter what.
This could be a freekin awesome year...or we could go tits up quickly once we get into the meat of the SEC schedule.
Don't put too much credence in the first few games is all.

I find this hard to believe coming from you.
You generally speak your mind no matter what. Besides whether you're a Pumper or Nega...who cares?....we're still one big sometimes happy, dysfunctional family.

Quit stirring up shite....and pull the stick out of your own azz first before casting stones.
