I still can't forget Musberger mispronouncing Matt Mauck's name in the 2003 BCS title game broadcast. That was such a slap in the face and showed he had not even done a lick of prepwork because he was so far up USC's behinds.
I'd take Hawthorne over Musberger any day.
And even if Jim's getting old, he's still The Voice. You know you're listening to LSU when you hear him and that means something.

Yep. Jim started out doing play by play with Norm Fletcher in Natchitoches many moons ago. Knew him then and kept up after.
I met Brent when he handled NBA coverage with Oscar Robertson on CBS. Actually, met him to confirm a bet with someone regarding a detail of that network's NBA programming.

I was a JH fan and think all play by play guys makes mistakes, but he has been here WAY too long and IMO has gotten lazy, wish his the best, but want him to move on....
