LSU and Bama played 6 common opponents this year. If someone wants to see how evenly these teams are matched up, check out the point differences in these games...

ARKANSAS
LSU - 41-17 (+24)
Bama - 38-14 (+24)

FLORIDA
LSU - 41-11 (+30)
Bama - 38-10 (+28)

OLE MISS
LSU - 52-3 (+49)
Bama - 52-7 (+45)

AUBURN
LSU - 45-10 (+35)
Bama - 42-14 (+28)

TENNESSEE
LSU - 38-7 (+31)
Bama - 37-6 (+31)

MISSISSIPPI ST
LSU - 19-6 (+13)
Bama - 24-7 (+17)

I thought this was a clear indication of how similar these teams are, and I wanted to share it with everyone.

Or to simplify... both LSU and Alabama beat a bunch of bad teams and Arkansas handily

Saw this on ESPN the other day. I could not believe just how close it was.

One difference that I can point out. We could have scored more in almost all of those games. We shut it down in the fourth quarter in almost all of them. Bama scored late in almost all of theirs, but that is really splitting hairs. We are evenly matched on offense and defense. However, our special teams are far superior.

I just can't get over the fact that LSU beat 6 different SEC teams by at least 2 TDs, and beat 5 of them by 3 TDs or more.

That's domination.

We played tougher OOC games.

Problem is....BCS don't give a fu-k.

The other problem is: Yes, this is LSU's best year, ever. But if we don't play like we should on Jan 9th, it won't mean as much.

I'm actually okay with this. Les will have the players ready.

It is freaking spooky how close these two teams are performance wise.
