Pepperdine just shutout #14 UC-Irvine 6-0. Hopefully, Pepperdine used up their ace against the Anteaters.....lol

Also, Arkansas mauled Kansas 15-3. Jayhawks are supposed to be pretty decent this year, but fhey obviously didn't look good tonight.

ETA - Tigers play both Pepperdine and Kansas this month, in case anybody is wondering what this has to do with LSU.

Pepperdine is 3-4 this year, with a pretty tough schedule..

LBSU 1-2 Loss
#17 CSF 6-0 Won
Oregon 11-7 Won
Cal Poly 7-12 Loss
CS-Northridge 2-3 Loss (12 innings)
CS-Northridge 6-7 Loss (2 run walk off homer)
#14 UC-Irvine 6-0 Won

Brown, who will be coming to BR with Pepperdine, has not started their season yet.. they should be wins for both LSU and Pepperdine..

Interesting that they have those losses to nobodies but beat Irvine and Cal State convincingly. Must have a couple studs that they can throw.

Thanks for pointing this out...not sure people know that there are quality west coast baseball teams besides UCI, CSF, and Stanford.

People will be surprised by them, but they shouldn't be. There is a lot of great baseball played in Cali, it's just a different style than we're used to. I wouldn't mind going watch a few Pepperdine games at their home field, I heard Pam Anderson goes to their games on a regular basis (from a reliable source).

you would think the UCI series a couple years ago would've educated people a bit, but 90% of lsu fans don't realize baseball exists outside the SEC

no idea, I think just cause she lives near there. For those unaware, Pepperdine is in Malibu.

This is true. Most couldn't name the 'big six' conferences in college baseball.

I guess they played opossum the entire season to end up a 4 seed in their regional, then.

Ok, what have they done recently that is significant? Just because I say that about two schools doesn't mean I'm not acknowledging anybody outside of the SEC.

Or more like the NCAA selection committee doesn't always do a good job of seeding.
