and subsides as it gets dark. even on days when the chance of rain is 100% it typically occurs by 7 or 8

Im curious if this holds true in Seattle?

In which case brings up another question: how well does their field drain?

It's not the same kind of rain most of you are thinking of, especially with only mild rain forecasted at a moderately low percentage. If it does rain it will be very light. I doubt it will have any real impact on the game or field.

Not sure about Seattle, but when I was in Oregon it rained Sonic ice everyday. It would be like 75 deg and all the sudden you'd look up and Sonic ice would be falling from the sky. Damndest shite I ever seent.

Like the frozen particles you would find inside a Route 44 Cherry Limeade.

AHHH! Sonic as in the fastfood chain. I get it now. Don't mind me, just a little slow.

When it gets into a rain pattern, usually stays for days, weeks. Its not the kind of rain you have in the south, however. More of a drizzle or sprinkle. Hard rain in Seattle is moderate rain in the south.

+1000 i lived in Washington for 5 years. In the south when it rains it pours. In WA. u just have more of a constant pitter-patter light drizzly, sprinkly, mist-type thing going on if that makes any sense

Nope. It's more like sleet. But really it's more like Sonic Ice. Maybe if one of these Huskers has been around Astoria OR they may know what I'm talking about. But I don't think they have Sonics up there so the point may be moot.

I live in Idaho and the same sort of ice pellets occur here too. It may be technically hail but hail here is usually softer, like snow pellets. It won't hurt when it hits you. It usually occurs in the spring so I doubt we'll see too much of this. The freezing level in the atmosphere is much lower here than in Louisiana, thus more frozen precip can fall even when its warmer. Rain here is like drizzle in Louisiana. It rarely thunders and will likely be light showers.

Really? This is perhaps the stupidest statement I have ever seen posted on here. how old are you and what facts do base this fallacy on?

yeah ok... so we've established a few truths here... It does rain a lot in LA... It also rains a lot in WA... The rain in the WA doesn't hold a candle to the rain in LA and even sometimes you get this peculiar "sonic ice" (by the way I like the analogy) but anyway... who really freakin CARES?!?!?! The Tigers are goin all the way anyway!!! rain or sonic ice or Hurricane baby!

actually, (ahem) i lived in Vancouver BC for 8 years and seattle for 3 years and i can tell you that the difference is that on october 1st the clouds roll in and it gets dark, gloomy and rains straight til june 30th.

other than that, Seattle's a great place to live.
