In hindsight, Les should have just put Jarrett Lee in the game.

Jordan Jefferson should have never seen the field after he was allowed back on the team. Jarrett Lee got them to where they were, not JJ.

So you thought JJ should have been the starter? That's the short bus way of thinking.

I guess having a chance to score made more sense than getting abused 21-0

3 completions and 2 interceptions. That's your boy Lee against Alabama. Jordan Jefferson got us a W in November. We would have been blown out with Lee.

It was the beginning of the end for Miles.

You take out a guy that led the team to all double digit wins, who was extremely efficient in the offense (lead the SEC in efficiency) and could complete a short pass on third and 8.

Jefferson comes in and plays great against a couple of cupcakes......his Arkansas game was pathetic until special teams and the defense turned that game around.........then he was absolutely atrocious against Georgia, and not even going to comment on his performance against Alabama in the NC. Les loved himself some running QB and that was his downfall.

JJ was worse than what we have now...it's just that we had better defenses when he was there. I remember than arrogant thug once saying after a bad game that he "thought he played well" and that "I've won more games than any other LSU QB". I was thinking...this is our fricking QB at LSU...he absolutely sucked and was giving himself credit.

The fact that Les would not even allow Lee to play in that game, despite what Lee had done for the team that year after JJ was off and thuggin......as much as I liked Les......he probably should have been fired right then....and it was shite like that which eventually cost les his job. As much as I like Les, I'd imagine he has had some closed door meetings with higher up....and I can see him being very stubborn and arrogant to them as well....it eventually caught up with him when he continued down the same road of continued failures with his choice in QB.

Lol your right. He , and he alone got us a W. Wow I should have thought about that. Reids int had nothing to do with it. JJ passing skills won us the game. It was nice that JJ finally got us across the 50 in the second half sometime in the NC. We were the laughing stock in college sports. So much that when our basketball team played Alabama, they cheered when we crossed mid court.

probably 3 more than he got against Alabama his second time around...if you don't count throwing it to the other team.

Lee Led the SEC in efficiency and led his team to double digit wins in every game he played significant minutes. The LSU defense won the game against Alabama that day, and Bama's kicker got the assist. JJ was horrible that game to....but you worship him like he was great....he had a wide open receiver for a td but underthrew it so badly that we ended up settling for a fg and went to overtime. He had a couple of runs....that's all the fk JJ could ever do......he was the worst fricking qb that LSU has had in my lifetime....and that's been a good many years. Before you start your shite, J lee was not good either, and JJ was more athletic.....but JL was what LSU needed for THAT offense....not some dumbass thug that could occasionally run.

It's impressive how a few deniers will still defend JJ, Les, and that offensive performance that barely crossed the 50 by swearing nothing else could be done or was an option.

It is a commitment to stubbornness that rivals Les Miles stubbornness.
