They lose a ton on defense, so we should be able to score on them.

Their two wide receivers are gone (including Jeff Maehl)

We have to find a way to stop their running game. Thomas, James, and Barner will all be back. Plus Seastrunk might have an impact next year.

Should be a high scoring game.

Nope, I dont think any of the teams will kill each other....to early to predict...were not even sure who our OC will be or our QB.....im hoping Zack mett but even then putting him in a first game against oregon can be a bit iffy.

Not sure what they are returning on O-line, but they got dominated by Auburn's D-line. I think our secondary is better than Auburn's as well. It may very well be high scoring, but I don't believe it will. We shouldn't have much trouble stopping their run (at least up the middle) and our secondary should keep their passing game in check.

Just watch the Auburn game and that's how you stop their running game.

I dont think its the question if our secondary is better than any team its just if we can put it all together....our secondary should have shut down alot of teams...Next year I think we will settle down and be smart about it.

True. I think they'll be a handful regardless....
They've really got their program in good shape up there.
I'm excited at the prospect of a new OC here. We all know it's needed.
I can't wait for next season. I like our chances. Lots. We've got some good reasons to be optimistic!

Wouldn't we have heard something if GC was leaving?

Our line should dominate their line just like AU line did. Question is how well or DB's handle the quick short throws.

For what it is worth I think AU (cam newton) played as badly as he has all season. He must have been injured early in the game. He was falling down before contact and acting like a wuss frequently. He had some good plays and threw the ball well so don't misunderstand. He just didn't play like he has played. He played human instead of his typical super human performance.

Meaning AU should have destroyed them but offensively they struggled more than they should have. Cam was wincing the whole game. Something was up.

Oregon is a team that if you have time to prepare for you can do well. Teams with only a week tend to get beat soundly. I like playing them either the first game or the last game. Look at their losses the last 2 years. 2009 was the opener to boise state, then Ohio State in a bowl and Auburn in a Bowl. I still think they will probably be the most dynamic team we face and can certainly beat us but I like having a whole summer ot prepare for the spread...

Auburn's D-line this year was much, much better than ours, at least stopping the run.
