I remember getting to Tiger Stadium right before kickoff for the UGA game. As I was buying my coke outside my section I heard the pre game horns and cheers. I was pouring out 3/4 of my coke into a trash can to add my burbon and heard the unmistakable accellerating roar of the crowd that stops the instant the kickers foot hits the ball on a kickoff. I make my way to my seat and glance out to the field and see the tigers lining up for the first play of the drive. I turn my back to the field to put down my gasoline colored beverage and hear the aganoizing howl from the crowd telling me Lee threw his latest pick 6. I couldn't turn around fast enough to see it but I knew what had happened. Thats when he lost me...But a bad as his ints were in 2008, nothing was as miserable as watching the LSU db's taunt each other and laugh when we were getting our arse handed to us by Ole Miss in TS later that season

I never really lost it for JL. Crowtons play calling was horrid for an inexperienced freshman QB. On a side note Maryland has as many ints as they do passing TDs. No QB coach, poor tackling with offense after interceptions, poor defense. Seeing JL sitting alone on the sidelines in some of those games infuriated me. The kid needed support from coaches that he never got. I still cant believe the kid stuck with LSU. I still think we should have stuck with him in 09 and 10. Just imagine the QB we would have now! Stafford at UGA had a rough start and look how well he did.

Now compare that to Lee, and it's easy to see why everyone said he was the best freshman since Hodson. In 11 games

Umm, you kind of left off an important stat.

What a joke.

There is not a single reasonable person on the planet that follows college football that would argue that Lee had a better freshman year than Russell.

Remind me who Saban had as starting QB for the bowl game of JRs freshman year?

Because it wasn't JR

Yeah, he only lead us back in the game and gave a chance to win it.

Seriously, as a freshman, Russell started games over a 5th year senior QB.

Lot of Lee haters on the board.....a whole lot of them.

Best part is that Crowten being gone is the reason credited by most of them for the change in offensive output.

Yet it was Lee that made them "lose it".

fricking pathetic.

You don't read well.

I never got upset with Lee in 2008.

Yes I do. Was I responding to you?

No. Oh and there are many others in this thread that have made such comments.

If the comment doesn't describe you (or even reference you), why take such umbrage with it? Guilty conscience maybe?

I was the original poster to bring up the Stormin/ Mormon and only one a few to do so. Plus, you clearly said "most" were hating on Lee.

But please be specific. Which posters are you referencing?

Guilt has little to do with anything. I just really like shooting down you're constant unfounded claims. It's become like a sport to me.

Who fricking cares....this is what I responded to:

Are you the OP?

quote:

Posters in this thread who have described when the "had it with Lee" that have also suggested that Crowten was the reason for our change in offense this year. I find the position hypocritical.

Name them.

You are perfectly capable of reading through this thread yourself.

Unfounded what you blithering tart....I didn't respond to you, reference you or comment about you.

Yet you felt you were under attack by my post. That is either guilty conscience or paranoid delusions.

Take your pick.

ETA: almost missed this gem:

I see people make the mistake of not using the apostrophe...but adding it in for no reason, from a lawyer? lulz

We were truly put behind the eight ball that year. But I have to say, it almost certainly would have been a better season with Ryan Perrilloux as the QB.

Only three people in this thread mention Crowton:

MandevilleLSUTiger (page 1)
Antonio Moss (page 2)
ottothewise (page 4)

Of these three, only ottothewise stated that he ever "lost it with Lee."

Unfounded what

So you claim that most are crediting the offensive improvement with the removal of Crowton, while also stating that they lost it with Lee is . . . . . .you guessed it . . . .unfounded.

It was only one person - ottothewise. And that's really not fair because he has legitimate mental health issues.

It's actually option "c" - having to constantly show you that you're wrong.

:sigh: I realize things over periods of time are difficult to remember. Try harder.

has this been the only thread where Crowton being gone has been proposed as the reason for the change in offensive production? Think real hard now.

quote:

.unfounded.

only if you ignore post history....why would you do that? Are you really to imply that of all the people who had "lost it with Lee" that none of them have EVER posited that the change in offensive production was due to Crowton?
really? There have been lots of threads on Crowton, and I know you don't take each thread as a stand alone thought process based on our previous conversations...so what gives?

quote:

It's actually option "c" - having to constantly show you that you're wrong.

Once again, guilty conscience or paranoid delusion?

I only had to go as far as the second response in the thread....

quote:

After the UGA game, I was convinced that we did not have a good QB.
-c on z

quote:

If Crowton is still our OC/QB coach then hellz no.
-c on z
LINK

Oh and I'll bet I can find more.....so does that mean you're a paranoid delusional or just have a guilty conscience?

ETA: notice the proper use of the apostrophe in "you're" within that last comment.
