With an improved passing game utilizing intermediate / short WR routes...shouldn't our O line be better this year overall. Last season, it seemed like we basically ran 7 and threw the deep ball. The defense seemed to know what we were going to do most of the time. Those that could take advantage of our limitations did, which, ironically...limited us even more. If the overall QB play improves, shouldn't it keep the defense off balance. I just wanted point out that the limited ability at the QB position or the limited playbook probably made the O line look worse than they probably were (Bama excluded). Hopefully, with BH being improved, it will allow LF7 to shine when the game is on the line. He looked good in the scrimmage (again), but hopefully this time as a QB and not just as an athlete. I believe he will turn the corner. Now let's kick some Badger arse. Geaux Tigers!

It's on play calling more than the QB.

QB seems to be the key with a Les Miles run heavy offense every year.

It's a team game, better play by one player helps another and vice versa. WR's with great hands help the qb and they move the chains which helps the defense. Great punters help the defense, great returners put the offense in better positions to succeed, etc, etc, etc

This. Harris certainly needs to do his part and complete the plays called. But we need to see more creativity. I'm currently watching a replay of last year's SECCG and its mind blowing to compare some of the plays Kiffin calls vs what LSU does. Lots of different slants and corner routes. Screens and pop passes. Moving around Ridley to get the ball in his hands. When the most creative play our offense has is a play action pass, you're probably not making the defense guess whats coming too often.

You could just as easily say the oline kept the QB play down. Both need to get better, and definitely the playcalling.
