I've always thought that the broken windows, no hedges, narrow walkways, etc. makes Tiger Stadium very intimidating. At all the other stadiums you walk up and say, "That's a good looking stadium." When opponents walk up to Tiger Stadium, they piss their pants.

people in the other thread said that it added to the "intimidation" factor and don't want to fix them

Anybody that thinks those broken out public eyesore windows are "Intimidating" are 100% insane cretins.

I'm with Alleva. Fix all the public eyesores inside and outside the stadium and replace the high school lights before adding more seats to the stadium.

In the short term, they really do need to just brick over those windows or put up "something" to cover them up. That's a major embarrassment.

they need to fix the new upper deck, it looks trashy. They need to cover the white pipe, remove the shades, and add roman architecture to it

I know that they had to make a separate building and not attach it to the old frame. But, I wish they would have made it blend in with the old part. That way when and if they up grade the old part it would not cost as much to bring it altogether as one building in looks. I agree I think they do need to make the outside of the old building a little better looking. I would like to see a murial of Mike the Tiger wrapped around the outside. Put one on the east side and one on the west side. It would be a for better picturisc looking stadium. In order to redo the inside of the old dormrooms they have to completely wrap them up and use a lot of water to keep the asbestos from flying and getting airbourn. It would make it look a lot better but they could not use the old rooms for much. They could make a place like a museum that I think would add to Tiger stadium and charge a small addmission this would help pay for the renovations.

Clean the outside of the stadium. The vacant student dorms could be fixed even if it has asbestos.

I think they should turn those old dorm rooms into some type of hotel that can be rented out on gamedays.

Some improvements to the restrooms and the interior of TS are NEEDED. I don't care what the costs are, DO SOMETHING with the dorms.

Independence Stadium has a better looking interior than TS.

Another site mentioned that Joe Alleva wants the next expenditure to improve Tiger Stadium and not expand it yet.

That would be the best decision. The large amount of empty seats for most of the games doesn't need to grow larger with an endzone expansion.

Remodel the dorms into party suites.

I like it old and cold - on the inside.

Could fix the windows on the outside though.

Improve exterior facade? Streetscaping?

Both of those, plus improving the restrooms.

I recall a few years back, the south endzone was covered with green ivy. I always thought it looked pretty neat, at least it was a better facade than the 1960's concrete face. Now, I think it would be great if the powers that be would renovate the south facade to match that of the rest of the stadium. I just always felt that the south endzone was minimally designed and took no consideration from the historical design. JMO.
